Delicious! - Edit
We tried All Chay based on the Happy Cow reviews, and we weren't disappointed! A very zen ambiance, friendly, efficient staff and delicious food. Everything was scrumptious and very well priced! We'll definitely be back next time we're in SLC.

lovely vegan Vietnamese - Edit
The vegan pho is very delicious. The broth is very hearty and full despite being vegan. The soy meat is good as well. People don't realize it's vegan unless you tell them.

I found out about this place on SLC Vegan Facebook page and oh, MAN! I'm so glad I took the advice to make the trek out there! Very simple seating but the food and service was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! My non-veg friend didn't even know she had just eaten vegan food.. 😂

yum! - Edit
I stopped by right as they opened on Sunday to order to go. The staff was SUPER friendly and warm. I had the chickn teriyaki sandwich. It was very tasty and fresh. I'm working my way towards veganism, vegetarian for now. I haven't had meat for about 9 months, not on purpose anyway. The chickn in the sandwich was very good and tasted just like real teriyaki chicken, I kept staring at it and nibbling it and I still can't find a difference. I'm excited to go back again.

delicious, must visit, go now - Edit
I am so, so happy I found this place via Happy Cow on my last trip to SLC! It was all I've ever wanted in Vietnamese food (and I've been to Vietnam). Phō, curries and bun salads, all of it vegan and (at least what I had was) delicious. Kinda a random location, and the setting inside was quirky/traditional/perfect. Go. Eat. Love.
Pros: the food , reasonable prices, vegan Thai iced tea
Cons: location was meh

DELICIOUS! - Edit
I think this is my new favorite vegan restaurant! Everything we tried was just delicious. My husband and I had never been here before, so we decided to get a large variety to try. We had the Eggrols, Ocean Love noodles, Curry Fried Rice, Pho, and the Chikun Banh Mi. The staff was friendly, and helpful, and the prices were great. There wasn't anything we didn't like. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!

Hidden gem that's a Counter service style restaurant, great staff, great food! We got the pho with soy beef and tofu, teriyaki chickun banh mi, all chay egg rolls, and lemongrass tofu! We enjoyed all of it!
Pros: counter service, quick

authentic Vietnamese food - Edit
This place has really great authentic Vietnamese food. We ordered the All Chay spring rolls that was filled with veggies, ground bean, seitan, and tofu (?) and the taste and texture of the filling was really nice. The 4 seasons fresh spring rolls comes with four different kinds of fresh spring rolls that were supposed to be unique but they all kind of tasted the same but they were awesome. My husband ordered the ginger tofu rice dish and I got the lemon grass tofu rice dish. The ginger tofu was covered in a dark savory sauce with garlic. I was a little disappointed with the lemon grass, the flavors (like pungent citrus) didn't come through as I expected but it was still good. Overall, we were both truly and incredibly happy about our visit and we will definitely be going back and it is on my list of top places to visit when I'm visiting my home in Utah.
Pros: friendly staff, excellent customer service
Cons: the interior is a bit run down , weird location

100 commendations - Edit
This might be my favorite restaurant ever. Why? Well, it's everything you could want, really. Basically everything is incredibly delicious, consistently. The prices are fair. The food is quality. The staff is super nice. Service is prompt. The atmosphere and energy is very relaxing and positive. It's just a great place. Definitely get the noodle bowls and soups. Banh mi every day. Spring and egg rolls. Just wow. Can't say enough about this place.
Pros: delicious, quality food, great staff and atmosphere, fair prices

perfection! - Edit
My favorites include the pho, 5 spice bahn mi, all chay egg rolls, ocean love noodles and Mongolian noodles. The fake shrimp is eerily realistic. They make magic out of yuba, and the Thai iced tea is delightfully not too sweet. Basically, order what sounds interesting and you won't regret it. Best way to start a lazy weekend is to eat at all chay

The best vegan pho in the Salt Lake Valley. - Edit
UPDATE - Nov 2015 - The have faux meats for sale. Display case is no longer by the door, but you can still purchase from the register.
--------------------------------------
This is a small hole-in-the-wall type of place. Nothing fancy. Order at the counter, and you can eat in or take out. I was impressed with the variety of items available though, and it is the only place in the Salt Lake Valley that I know of where you can get pho soup with vegan faux meats included. It was really tasty. I also like that it is close to downtown - other Vietnamese restaurants are usually in West Valley.
Pros: Vegan Pho and other items, Nice staff, Location

Amazing - Edit
I adore this place, I have yet to order off the menu something that I wasn't absolutely thrilled about! Even my non-veg family adores this place! The only thing we dislike is the times we can't go because it is closed!
Pros: Amazing food, Excellent customer service, Plenty of seating and Takeout available
Cons: sometimes closed when I want to go

Great food, it is a little gem - Edit
The foot was great, especially my Pho with the good beef replacement.
The restaurant is ok, neither fancy nor run down. Without HappyCowi never expected a vegan restaurant in a housing area. It is worth the trip!
Pros: great food
Cons: a little bit away from downtown, not much athmosphere

One of the best Vegan places in Salt Lake City - Edit
When I heard about this restaurant from my friend I was through the roof. The location is a little off the beaten path but it is so worth it. The food is incredible; I am addicted to their BBQ and Mongolian Noodle dishes. The Pho is to die for and my non-vegan friends absolutely LOVE it. It is a mom and pop kind of shop and its just super lovely. The lady who works at the counter is beyond kind; she kept her business open an extra hour to feed me and my friends. Try the thai iced tea with your meal as its heavenly. The prices are super fair and you get your "bang for your buck". I will be coming back to this wonderful establishment every time I am in SLC. They also cater and are happy to offer take-out for their yummy dishes!
Pros: Low prices and varietal menu , friendly owners, fantastic portions

I can finally have pho again!! This place makes my tummy so very happy. The pho was so tasty, esp the broth. Took home some spring rolls for the child and it was a major hit. I cannot wait to return! Lovely people who run the place-super nice and helpful.

Delicious Vietnamese - Edit
My family made the trek to Salt Lake to try All Chay this afternoon and we were very pleased. I tried the Ocean love, wife had the lucky lemongrass-spicy, son tried the BBQ Banh Mi and my daughter had the Teriyaki Banh Mi. We shared a bowl of Pho and an order of egg rolls, it was all fantastic. The owner came over and told us her story and we shared ours, she left and came back with a new dish for us to try, they were a potsticker like wonton appetizer-look forward to seeing them on the menu when we return.
Pros: Great food, All plant based
Cons: none

Awesome Food and Excellent prices! - Edit
I was skeptical about All Chay when I got there and no one was there, but their food was amazing. The lemongrass tofu Bahn mi is to die for and so inexpensive. Also the 4 season spring rolls are excellent too and we'll worth it.
Pros: price, food is amazing , extremely fast service

My fav restaurant in Utah - Edit
This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Utah for several reasons. Let me start by saying the food portions are huge and I eat a lot, but they are also cheap! And of course the food is delicious, I have not had a dish I don't like yet. Also I do not like oily vegan junk foods and while they do have some foods that are a bit on the oily/junk food side, they have a ton of healthier rice based dishes that have minimal oil. Which is fantastic if you are more health conscious and McDougall style, or HCLF such as myself. Second is the service I have yet to wait more than about ten minutes for my food from the time I order to the time they bring it out. The owners are also super nice and very attentive, always checking up to see how you are liking the food and seeing if you need anything. Lastly the atmosphere is great. This is a place where I really like to sit back, relax, put my phone down, eat and talk if I am there with someone. They do have WiFi though. if you come try either their Pho, Teriyaki Banh Mi, spring rolls, crispy rolls, or the Spicy Cha Cha. For dessert make sure you try the vegan flan. happy eating! another note you serve yourself water, get your own utensils/napkins/sauce this is a pro in my opinion I don't like waiting for servers to bring me more water/sauce etc.
Pros: delicious but cheap, fantastic service/, relaxing atmosphere/friendly owners
Cons: certain items only available certain days, not many desserts

BEST VIETNAMESE FOOD - Edit
I went to All Chay opening week with my family and we were absolutely astounded by the quality of the food, the affordable prices, and the large portion sizes. The owners are both vegan and clearly passionate about the food that they serve, which comes through in the presentation and flavor. Also, I grew up in the area that it's located in, Rose Park, which is not known for being a veg-friendly area. But one of the owners, Kim, relayed that they're excited to "bring healthy food to the area". Also, the ambience of the restaurant has a lot of character. Super cozy and spacious. We can't wait to go back again in the near future. Yum!
Pros: very flavorful, delicious food, large portion sizes, affordable prices
Cons: no outdoor seating

Excellent new Vietnamese vegan food in NW SLC - Edit
All Chay brings a welcome new variety to ethnic cuisine in the Fairpark neighborhood, less than three miles northwest of Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The menu includes a good variety of noodle, sandwich, and soup items. They have a large space with more than a dozen tables and plenty of parking in the small strip mall where they reside.
