Plentiful options

I like all bar one because they always have some good options on offer. I really like this branch as there’s lovely outdoor seating.

Vegan options decent, not exceptional

I went with a friend on a Tues night and shared some tapas. They had hummus with bread/tortilla chips, and deep fried mushrooms. Was a good portion size and overall a good option for a Tues night.

Would go there again in a pinch, though not specifically for the food.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labelled

Cons: Not enough bread/tortillas with the hummus

Good to See the Chains Offering More Vegan Options

I always thought that All Bar One existed purely for dolled up twenty-somethings to drink and 'go on the pull' on a Saturday night. I think that's still a big part of AB1, but it's now a good place for people to go for coffee during the day and it's now a decent place for vegans to go as there's a good number of vegan options on the menu.

At the time I went they offered two courses for £10.95 (or three courses for £13.95) from a set menu so I went for the vegan options on that: Avocado/salsa bruschetta to start, a supergreen laska for main and a coconut & raspberry sorbet for dessert. There was barely any avocado on the bruschetta (completely overpowered by the salsa). The laska was decent, but a bit bland. The sorbet was fine. So overall I'd say that the food (on the set menu) wasn't anything special.

The Battersea All Bar One is on the busy Northcote Road near Clapham Junction station. Like most AB1s, there's plenty of space inside.

It was all good value and it's a surprisingly good place to go for dinner. I'll be back to try more of the menu, but not top marks for now.
