Delightful place, friendly staff helpful with ordering. Topped w/Coconut cream!

They make their own teas, no chemicals or powdered drinks like most boba places. It was late in the day so I wanted something decaf. The lovely woman at the counter guided me to the vanilla rooibos with oat milk topped with coconut cream with brown sugar boba, unsweetened. It was SO good, decadent without being over sweet, the sweet boba provided the right balance of sweetness. My husband got a coldbrew coffee he enjoyed. My son had a rose berry matcha with a almond milk and boba and enjoyed it. I love this place!

Pros: The boba is vegan—brown sugar, Cute place, No chemicals

Cons: Not close enough to where I live!

Alfred Tea Room

Review written in late 2019. They offer vegan oat milk matcha lattes that seemed pretty average / basic to me. No pretty foam leaf or designs on top.

Customers were extra snotty to each other here so I can't see myself wanting to hang out at this cafe (I'd only order things to go).

Rating was based on the matcha latte.

Best place in LA for bubble tea

I love this place! And not for the photo ops, for the actual product they sell. There's got to be a little something added to the classic milk tea that makes it taste extra good. I appreciate that there are almond and oat milk options, and every drink on the menu is vegan or can be made vegan. Also, it smells [censored] good in there. I just wish it was a little bit cheaper so I could justify going more often.

Pros: Pleasant vibe, All veganizable, So delicious

Cons: Expensive
