Read moreI found this place via the app. Not the best reviews but it was local to where I wanted to be and I was bloody starving. It has its own car park and is positioned elevated above Machico. The girl that greeted me was lovely, humoured my pigeon Portuguese then seated me outside at their front, covered area. I ordered a Weiss Banana beer (yes banana flavoured wheat beer!), Spinaci Pizza and an organic side salad. All arrived in good time and all tasted blooming delicious! The 12”pizza was well topped with noticeably fresh ingredients. The generous side salad was equally as fresh, dressed with balsamic…. and the Weiss Banana! 🍺🍌💙💗.
Both the waitress and chef asked if everything was ok - great service.
Not sure about what a previous reviewer wrote about leaving him hungry?? I’m 16st and was pushed out in a wheelbarrow!
I admit it’s not the cheapest restaurant in Madeira, but I’d rather pay a couple of euros more for decent food. And yes the selection is rather limited.
Will return if I’m local.

Solid Pizza, Very good vegan dessert - Edit
The pizza itself is solid, not outstanding, but a huge plus for having the amazing cheese from Veganaria on it! I really liked having vegan options for dessert as well 💕 they have the amazing cheesecake from Veganaria as well, which is already a reason to go there! We also tried the vegan tiramisu and actually really liked it.

Wir waren hier mehrere Male, weil sie im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Restaurants wirklich gute Pizza haben, die selbstgemacht ist (und nicht auf Standard TK Teiglingen). Es gibt auch eine vegane Alternative, jede Pizza ist aber auch dazu unformbar.

Nice pizza with lots of vegan cheese - Edit
There’s one fully vegan option in the menu but they will let you opt for vegan cheese in any pizza on the menu, no extra cost. There was also a vegan cheesecake, which was very tasty.

Ich hatte eine leckere vegane Pizza. Es gab allerdings auch weitere vegane Gerichte zur Auswahl. Auch die nicht veganen Gerichte waren sehr gut und es gab Cocktails :)

Clearly vegan-labelled items on the menu. They have a lasagna, bolognese, pizza and salad. We ordered the spinach vegan pizza and asked to make the vegetarian one vegan. The cheese from the spinach pizza was really good.

Expensive 19€ vegan pizza, with a very scarce topping. Looks nice in the photo. Tasty, but not worth the price. You can't charge the phone. I left the place hungry.

Vegan Pizza with vegan cheese from Veganaria - Edit
Some of the waiters didn't know about the cheese from the local manufacturer Veganaria, but when we asked someone from the kitchen, they assured us that the special cheese is still available. We ordered the vegan Spinaci Pizza and it was very delicious!

Italienische Pizza mit bestem veganem Käse - Edit
Neapolitanische Pizza in Madeira 😍 🍕- waren hier zum Lunch. Das Restaurant macht einen hochwertigen und jungen Eindruck. Der Teig der Pizza ist Mega - so kennen wir ihn auch aus Italien. Fluffiger rand und dünner Boden. Zudem hatten wir die vegane Lasagne und als Vorspeise das Knoblauchbrot mit Käse. Was mega ist hier ist dass man ohne Aufpreis den Käse in veganen Käse tauschen kann. Und der ist superlecker. Uns hat es komplett überzeugt 🤩🤌🏻
Read moreLokal liegt zwar direkt an der Straße, das war für uns jetzt aber kein Problem und stört auch nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr großartig. Wir kommen gern wieder. Personal war übrigens top, ebenso wie die kurzen Wartezeiten 👍🏻

Yummy vegan pizza! - Edit
This pizzeria has the local ‘Veganaria’ mozzarella that is made in Madeira as well as the normal vegan mozzarella that is imported. I had the marinara with the special cheese and my partner had a vegetarian pizza. Drinks were also lovely. Staff were attentive. Great dinner overall.

There are a few vegan options and there is a possibility to exchange cheese in several other dishes for a vegan vheese option. The lasagne was tasty, but nothing super special.
