A round meal. Very tasty and balanced. We had the day's main course (lasagna with polenta and broccoli with some salad and the tempeh Burger). Especially the burger highly recommended. And the cake too! Omnomnom :3

Pese a tener una carta corta tienen los platos muy bien montados con ingredientes de primerísima calidad. El tempeh es increíble, y el pan de la hamburguesa elaborado por ellos, delicioso. Compensa la carta con un menú que cambia a diario. Menú 11€, hamburguesa 9€. El servicio no es el más rápido pero son súper amables y con un trato estupendo. En general ha sido un placer, ¡gracias!

Get over to Alfarroba (short poem - sorry!) - Edit
With only three 100% vegan places to eat in Albufeira, and having already eaten in ‘Veggie Momi’ - which I’d recommend - we tried Alfarroba Cafe.
Read moreThis is not like your normal vegan restaurant of cafe which generally focus on home cooked or vegan junk food. The Alfarroba Cafe prides itself on zero processed food using cooked and raw organic, locally sourced ingredients - focussing on Macrobiotic Philosophy, their menu results in nutritious, balanced and energy-rich meals, made with whole grains, vegetables and legumes.
We went for the set menu which include tea, soup and main course for €11 per person.
Tea served in a glass was Pennyroyal and Bella Louisa which was really good. Never having had Pennyroyal, it was a treat and I’d have it again.
Soup was a Japanese Miso. It had depth of flavour was nicely cooked veg but it lacked any punch or heat. Perfect for someone who likes plain soup.
The main was Feijoada, which is one pot of black beans and vegetables, served with brown rice, steamed vegetables, pickled
red cabbage and salad. It cooked to perfection. The veg had bite, the cabbage a nice tangyness, salad was fresh and the nutty rice was sticky and moresish. We both felt the Feijoada was lacked flavour and seasoning. Seasoning and hot sauce were available so it’s our fault we never asked for them.
All in all a great place if what you want is a really healthy option. It was a great offering for only €11 too.
Would I go back - Yes.
Would I recommend - Yes.

Nice place with fresh carob 🙂 - Edit
This small vegan place in the main street has good atmosphere - I have never forgot Alfarroba, because this name means “carob” in Portugese. And I am fresh carob lover 🙃. We have take away food, we choose some fresh juices, smoothies, daily menu and tortillas woth tofu. Everything was yummy 😋 and staff was very friendly!! Their desserts - we try tiramisu and chocolate mousse were perfect. Beautiful place with daily menu and a lot of choices in their standard menu.

We got tofu wraps which felt fresh and filling, we got them along with tortilla chips. We also got the daily menu beetroot soup. The soup was wonderful and I’m not usually a soup person. I also got a smoothie which was delicious. The staff inside were very accommodating and sweet. We got it all as takeout which was simple and easy to do.

It was a lovely spot to sit in the sun but in some shade, at the hottest part of the day. I treated myself to a wee holiday bottle of wine, and enjoyed the fully vegan menu. I was excited to see tempeh on the menu, but wasn't that keen on the burger - it was a bit bland.

Armenio booked us in as a group of 10 even though it’s usually a walk in restaurant. The service, vibe and food were sensational - nothing could be faulted! We got to try some excellent local vegan white wines, too. Such a great experience. Thank you team!

Gorgeous place, a great find. We had 1 menu of the day, and 1 tempeh burger. Then the choco cake and cheesecake for desert. The reviews are true - the flavours here are so good! We will be back for sure!!

I wish we found this place sooner rather than visiting on our 2nd last day 😪 lovely staff so accommodating and friendly. We went for the menu of the day which you get a tea, soup and meal of the day. The ingredients were so fresh and tasty and the flavours of the food were extraordinary. If you are visiting Albufeira this place is a must!! The reviews speak for themselves.

Such an afforable and tasty experience! Got the daily specials for €11 which had mint tea, creamy lentil soup and main with tofu, bulgur wheat, red cabbage and salad. Flavours were incredible. Got the cacao tart for dessert. Going to come back as soon as we can.

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in my life. I got the daily special which came with a tea, miso soup, and a main dish. It was extraordinary. The attention to detail was mind blowing - the flavors were unreal. We also got some coffee and two different desserts (see pictures). It was all outstanding. Highly recommended.
