Serves meat, vegan options available. Chinese restaurant offering a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Open Wed-Sun 12:00-22:00.
Closed Mon and Tue.
The vegan sushi here is great, and also the vegan dishes. We have lived in China, and this food passes the authenticity test. They home deliver to a large area, and are happy to discuss to veganize other dishes on the menu. Have ordered many times and keep ordering.
I had the vegan "xiang guo" which, as promised, was intense (giving indeed a "pleasant numbness" in the mouth!), and included lotus root as well as complex flavouring on the elements. If you're looking for something interesting, try it!
The "vegan meat" in both our dishes was old-school (soya-based), and pretty good but some parts became doughy and/or tough - so it was OK but not perfect. The fine noodles (mee hoon) and the rice (kerrie nasi) side dishes were good, and the sambal.
Owner and chef Zhang Hu has won many international prizes with his dishes. Yet, it is very affordable. It has menu's from eight traditional Chinese kitchens. It has also no less then 16 vegetarian options and they can cook vegan when you ask for it. Very friendly staff and good ambience. I come there many years and they have also a delivery service.
