10/10 amazing!!! - Edit
My new favorite restaurant!! Everything was sooo delicious and healthy!! Flavors are impeccable!! We got the aleppo appetizer plater with hummus, tabbouleh, baba ghanoush, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. It was phenomenal! The baba ghanoush was insane!! Everything you order here comes with a pita bread as well!
Read moreWe also ordered the classic majadra and it was this huge bowl of fluffy rice and lentils cooked to perfection! This one does come with a yogurt sauce, so just be sure to say no yogurt sauce!
Some things on the menu are not vegan and some with the 🌱 plant symbol, are vegetarian. Most are already vegan! The few that are vegetarian have cheese or yogurt sauce. So just be mindful when exploring the 🌱 labeled options!
This restaurant also has inside and outside seating! Outside is smoke friendly. When we showed up it was super busy outside but empty inside. Everyone outside was smoking hookah and cigars.
Also!!!!!!! Super important!!!!!!!!!
If someone out there goes here soon please ask about the baklava!! The menu listed shows what its ingredients are and it says rose water syrup. Our server was understanding what vegan meant but not entirely and he mentioned they used honey in it, but it’s not labeled as such on the menu. I want to come back and ask someone new because I have a feeling that it is vegan!
But highly recommend this spot. It was insanely delicious and will definitely be somewhere I visit again in the near future!
Pros: Healthy, Labeled 🌱vegan/vegetarian options

Thanks for the review. We used to go to that place when it was on Brookhurst. One thing to ask about Baklava is if they use butter as the oil(on top of honey, of course).

Oh good to know! I also wondered after we left if the baba ghanoush actually has yogurt in it. I looked up some recipies when I got home to try and recreate it and saw some used yogurt. It had a tangy flavor and I just thought it was the eggplant and their seasonings since I had told the server we were vegan.

Some baba ghanoush uses yogurt and some uses none. Kareem’s on Brookhurst doesn’t use yogurt. So it depends. Maybe we have to ask. The tangy taste could be from lemon juice. I don’t remember if Aleppo uses yogurt or not. It has been a while since we go there.

Okay! That makes me feel better! Fingers crossed and I’ll have to ask next time I’m there! And thanks for the recommendation:)
