Wonderful experience

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, this place is perfect!

The cottage is super cozy, and we had a great time with Steven, Victoria, A**é***, and Maxi!

The views are breathtaking, and the trails are right in the middle of nature. I couldn’t stop stargazing - the sky was filled with so many stars!

Pros: Kindness of the "staff", All meals were delicious, Cozy cottage

What a great weekend 😊

I’m glad happy cow exists! It was how we found this place. It was a great experience! Nestled in the heart of nature, the location was breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful forests and hills. From the moment we arrived, Victoria, Stephen and the special little big girl Aurelia made us feel welcome. What stood out the most was the peaceful atmosphere (and the food😊). It felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're looking to unwind in nature or explore the outdoors, this place is a gem. We'll definitely be returning!

Pros: The food! Best breakfast ever 😍, The hosts , The atmosphere

What a great place to reflect and create

I popped over as one of their first guests, they were still in the throws of completion. Just driving up was great, through the mountains, the views are lovely. My room was very comfortable and spacious, with a great view down the valley out of the window. They were just constructing the shower and toilet block that looked great, can’t wait to try them on my return. The food was superb with Victoria being a good cook and Stephen an imaginative vegan chef, so great to have things i have not tried before. The tiered landscape with views on all levels and amazing Starry skies at night, is so peaceful. Can’t wait to try the cottage and the oranges on return. This is a lovely warm welcoming and well fed place to stay, great if you are a walker or rock climber. Or just want to chill. The old stone buildings have great character. Love that it is pretty much off grid, hand made and from mainly repurposed materials but still clean and attractive, due to Victoria’s eye to detail. Their daughter Aurelia and max the dog add some fun and furry interaction. The river pools can be walked or driven to, they are so refreshing for cooling off on a hot day, or you can get exfoliated by the fish if you just lie still. If you want to pop into town it is only 20 mins in the car so even though it feels lovely and remote you are not that far from civilisation. Loved it. X🙏🏾
