Great option downtown, specially when you're on budget

Close to touristic area, we have this incredible option, they serve a different menu every day for only $60 mexican pesos, ¿2.5 usd? For that price you have refill water, usually some cold tea without sugar, or a
Some water with fruits very light and refreshing. Soup, salad, a main dish, and dessert. Everything in small portions, but more than enough for lunch.

Not long ago they added burguers to their menu, you can exchange the main dish for burguer and fries for some extra money.

They also have a store where you can buy a lot of vegan products, clothes, shoes.

For holiday season they make special food to take home like tamales, special Christmas dishes, desserts.

It's a big place with many tables, waiters are friendly.

Pros: Cheap, Everyday something different, Special dishes on special dates

Cons: Only open for lunch, No delivery

Delicious family-run lunch spot

I had a bit of trouble finding this as it had moved twice from its original location. Fortunately the old owner saw me staring at her place and explained to me that it was right around the corner. It's a small, low-key comedor run by a wonderful local family. They prepare a full lunch every day and are open from around 1 to 5... but if you're going later, be sure to call ahead, as meals often run out. Check their Facebook page for daily menus. They are always happy to offer a vegan alternative if the daily option has cheese or cream. Highly recommended, around a 10 minute walk from Jardin Zenea right along the river.

Pros: Home-cooked, Inexpensive, Friendly

Cons: Limited opening hours, Limited selection
