Delicious dinner on the Camino Primitivo - Edit
Our stay here was really nice. They changed the name of the albergue, by the way, to the 'Tulip of Salas'. Happily they did not change their vegetarian/ vegan menu. What a delicious dinner they served. Everybody at the same time, wonderful way to meet people, the Spanish chef was the sweetest woman and a Dutchman (hence: the Tulip) was the perfect host. Even the music was lovely. What a great place, on the 2nd stage of the Camino Primitivo.

Great vegan pilgrims dinner! - Edit
My friend and I had such a great time here while doing the Camino Primitivo. We told them we were vegan and they were so accommodating. A delicious, hearty meal with 5 courses and wine for a great deal.

Delicious food, great hospitality - Edit
They offer a vegetarian 3-course-dinner pilgrims dinner which is easily made vegan. It was super delicious an a great price value. The use local and ecological ingredients. I was the only guest staying in the albergue that night but they didn't bother preparing it just for me. The owner and staff are very attentive and nice, uncomplicated atmosphere, camino spirit - everything the (vegan) pilgrim needs. The place is now called "El Tulipan"

Oasis in the desert - Edit
We stayed here on the Camino Primitivo. They offer vegetarian/vegan dinner and breakfast. When we were there, the vegan dinner was: Mushroom soup, vegetable curry, some veggies and mango wrapped in lettuce and ice cream. For breakfast they ran out of options and the one they had (pancakes with fruits) unfortunately included eggs.

A big surprise - Edit
It is a pilgrims´ hostal (on one of the Santiago de Compostale pilgrimage routes, "el camino primitivo") but although we were neither pilgrims nor stayed there we could dine there. I am nor sure if it is like that usually or it was an exception.
Read moreThe dinner was exceptional. The day we dined there the vegetarian menu was composed of a mashroom soup and a spring roll with sweet-sour sauce, green curry with rice and lentils, and an ice cream with banana, and it was acommpanied with ecological wine. Everything was very tasty and rations were more than generous. The cook that also attended us is a very warm and attentive person.
Pros: excellent food , healthy food
