Great tapas bar - Edit
What a lovely place for drinks and tapas.
There is a nice selection of tapas- from the classic "patatas bravas" to more unusual options like baked almond cheese in pastry. Everything we tried was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and the service was very friendly.
I will definitely go back there on my next trip to Berlin!
Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Small sitting space

WHATCH OUT for hard, sharp PLASTIC piece found in pizza - Edit
I went yesterday for the first time to Alaska bar. They had the famous pop-up kitchen and I tried a very tasty gluten free vegan pizza. When I was almost done with it, I was lucky enough not to swallow and hurt myself with a piece of sharp, hard plastic the size of my big toe nail that appeared on in the pizza. I told the waiter/owner who politely apologized, yet he charged me for the whole dinner offering me a shot for having found a surprise on my pizza.
Unfortunately the waiter/owner did not really know how to handle the situation properly and the cook looked out the kitchen but said nothing ( at the pop-up kitchen the cooks gain all the food they sell) VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Fannymedina 14 Sep 2016 - Hello Atarxo!
We are so sorry about it! we don´t know what else we can say.
The Pop Up day is not our kitchen.
atarxo 17 Sep 2016 - Thanks for your response Fannymedina:-)
Thinks like this can happen to everyone, yet in such cases restaurants, or in this Pop up kitchen day, the cook, take responsibility and the food wit the plastic isn't charged, or there is a proportional discount, since it could have been damaging.

Pop up dinner... Fail - Edit
I went there because there was a vegan pop-up dinner going on. 10€, 3 courses. I was quite disappointed as I had cold pasta, and a kind of rice flour cake which tasted like nothing and I sent back to the kitchen. I know it's not their usual food but a guest who cooked it, so I'll probably give it another try, because the staff is super nice and so is the place.
Pros: nice staff and place
Cons: cold and untasty food

lecker essen in schöner Atmosphäre - Edit
Pros: sehr lecker, preiswert

Best Vegan Brunch! - Edit
We went for the all-you-can-eat brunch and it was glorious. There was so much variety. The club sandwiches were the best, and there was also potato tart, various cheeses, antipasti, bread, vegetable dishes, 'feta', fruit, cake...there was so much choice, and everything was delicious. It has a really nice laidback atmosphere too and the staff were really friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
We also had churros (not included in the cost of the brunch, but we couldn't resist) and they were fantastic. The chocolate was so rich!
Pros: Fantastic brunch, Good value for money, Laid back, relaxing atmosphere

Visit Alaska! - Edit
Have been here twice now, but we really want to go again. The food is really delicious, and the coffee is good too. There's a wide range of tapas to choose from, some tasty culinary experiments too (vegan camembert, anyone?), and the portions aren't small. Three or four dishes between two people will probably be plenty for most. Friendly staff, great soundtrack, reasonable prices.
Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff

yum yum - Edit
was there twice. Once for a vegan pop up: they had amazing purple tortillas. The second time we went for a brunch, which was really good too. A nice variety of sandwiches, appetizers and amazing cakes! Especially the cheese cake. The only thing I was missing, was more fresh foods.

Pick of the brunch - Edit
FM has been here for Sunday brunch - a Berlin institution - twice now. Cannot be recommended enough. A small place, so get here early to avoid disappointment; it's rightly full the whole day.
For 12EUR you get an all-you-can-eat buffet, consisting of 15 or so delicious vegan dishes, and several others that you are offered throughout the meal (katsu curry and churros last time). There were some real show-stoppers: pizza sandwiches and a chocolate cake you can't resist revisiting. Just like Alaska bar - somewhere you'll find yourself returning.
The staff are also lovely, very friendly and great fun.

cozy place, nice mix, cool events - Edit
Alaska is a really nice fully vegan eaterie in the district Neukölln.
I discovered it, when I joined the "vegan tour Berlin" and this was one of the vegan eateries we went to. I had a hot chocolate (with soy rice milk), a sweet pastry and a chocolate cake with chocolate sauce. (Yes, I know, that was a lot of chocolate, but it made me happy.) The enterior ist very cozy and there are many cool events goin on. For example pop up dinners, concerst, charity events. They have nice drinks and smoothies. I did not try the savory food yet. But for sure, I will come back for one of the events!! :)
Pros: cozy, fully vegan
Cons: not many glutenfree options, no non-soy plant milk

Great place - Edit
Loved this! The food is supertasty and the prices are reasonable. We had a mixed tapas plate (the aioli is delicious), a sandwich and some sweet stuff, all was very good. They have good cocktails as well and the guy at the bar was extremely nice and helpful.
Apart from the food, they also have different events such as cooking classes, music etc. on some days. Great place for an after-work drink as well as for a Friday night.
Pros: Nice atmosphere & staff, Great food, All vegan
