Many vegan options - Edit
Visited on 2 May 2026
Read moreThere are plenty of vegan options on the menu, and the staff speak and understand English well.
We ordered three lentil soups, chips, spicy fried potatoes, tameya (Egyptian Falafel made from Fava beans instead of chickpeas), babaganoush, hummus, green salad, fresh layered orange, gauva and strawberry juice with a little sugar, all served with unlimited flatbread. The portion sizes are generous and the food tasty. The bill was EGP836 and could have served 4 people, we didn't realise the portion sizes would be so big so could have ordered less items.
The restaurant is located on the top floor of the building for English‑speaking customers, and there is no lift, so be prepared to walk up almost five flights of stairs.
It’s probably best to come by taxi, as the walk can be uncomfortable with many people trying to stop you to sell things or offer horse‑cart or taxi services.
Overall, it’s well worth visiting. The food is affordable, though likely on the higher end for Egypt — locals generally don’t pay these prices.

Many vegan options - Edit
Very nice restaurant with a good view. The prices for the food are fair considering the good location and quality of the food. There are also great vegan options! We had Egyptian tajine and fateera without the cheese.

Great view and service - Edit
There are some vegan options on the menu, but the staff is more than happy to adapt other dishes to make them vegan. The view is great and the staff very friendly, worth a visit

Good food and good views - Edit
Really liked the great variety of vegan options. This ranged from classic side dishes to full vegan mains such as the mixed vegetable bulgur which was lovely. The restaurant is located on a rooftop which is a short walk from main attractions. However it is on a very hectic and smelly road!

Lovely - Edit
Very good food, decent range of vegan options, good service. We had a range of mezze and a few different tagens. They are happy to leave cheese off e.g. veg moussaka if you ask.

2 stars for the view & one decent dish.. - Edit
The view from the roof of the Avenue of the Sphinx was nice and the roof top set up of the establishment has aesthetic potential.
Read moredefinitely not vegan friendly or even friendly at that !
we found most of the food we ordered to be inedible in respect of our diet unfortunately. a lot of it was greasy and our dietary requirements were unable to be catered to and was abruptly confirmed without a second thought ..we should have simply walked out then.
hygiene and service standards unacceptable.
most vegetarian dishes contained cheese and staff were not open to flexibility of the dishes
For vegans and vegetarians who care about the quality of what they consume i would say: don’t waste your time
Pros: the view was nice, flavours were mostly enjoyable, the first mohomara we had was nicely flavoured
Cons: food oily and greasy, inconsistency in reordered items, forgetting stated dietary requirements

Food was ok - Edit
The food in general was ok. They have typical sides that are always vegan. Falafel, Baba ganoush, hummus, tahini, beans. Also extra fried cauliflower. But the food lacked flavour. I added a lot of salt and pepper to Baba ganoush and tahini to make it good. But the staff is nice, terrace upstairs has a nice decoration and view. Food could get better.

A MUST VISIT! - Edit
The sunset Nile view is perfect. The colorful seating and whimsical decor is a very charming ambience. There are lots of veg dishes to choose from that we loved — salads, soups, mazzas and Feteera.
Read moreThe Mohmarra dip was a unique blend of roasted red peppers, walnuts, chile, herbs, pomegranate and rose water. Very good! The spicy potatos, fried cauliflower and Zaatar were yummy too!
Try a spinach or mushroom Fateera pie if you eat cheese.
Abuzizo gave excellent service. I highly recommend. The Karkadeh (hibiscus) juice was the best I’ve had in Egypt.
They also say their food is all locally sourced and organically grown.

Delicious food and great view - Edit
Rooftop seating overlooking the Nile and very good food. I tried the options options suggested for Luxor and regretted every time. This place has great service, a good number of vegan options for Egypt, the ambiance is lovely, and the prices are cheap.
