It is indeed a new place. No vegan menu. Has the standard ‘accidentally’ vegan stuff, plus gnocchi and tomato. No pesto gnocchi anymore which is what I came for! Was fine - average for Venice which is pretty good.

Restaurant von außen unscheinbar, von innen sehr schön und gemütlich und das ganz in der Nähe der Rialtobrücke. Auf den ersten Blick erkennt man leider nicht, dass es eine Menge an veganen Gerichten gibt, erst auf Nachfrage bekamen wir eine Extrakarte mit veganen Speisen. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und preislich, vor allem bei der Lage, sehr in Ordnung.

They have a vegetarian section on the regular menu and a separate vegan menu on request, and the staff are knowledgeable about what’s vegan. The prices are also reasonable for Venice especially considering it’s only a couple of minutes from the Rialto bridge. I had the pesto gnocchi which didn’t have a strong basil flavour like I’m used to with pesto but was instead creamy and comforting on a rainy day.

Kleines, unscheinbares Lokal. Wir waren lange die einzigen Gäste, was vielleicht an den wenigen Tischen draußen lag. Ein wenig abseits vom Massentourismus, aber dennoch in Nähe der Rialto-Brücke. Auf Nachfrage gibt es eine eigene vegane Karte. Das Essen war durchwegs ausgezeichnet!! Ein echter Geheimtipp in Venedig, wo ich persönlich mit der Restaurantauswahl überfordert war.

Went here recently on a day trip through Venice, our server Anastasia was fantastic and they have a full seperate vegan menu that is chock full of delicious vegan pastas and meals. Could not recommend this place enough.

My favorite meal in Venice - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu available on request, and the dishes are absolutely delicious! We had the bruschetta, gnocchi with pesto, and mushroom risotto - everything was incredible. The prices are very fair for the location, and both servers were super sweet and friendly. This was our best experience in Venice!

When I mentioned I was vegan the waitress surprised me with a seperate menu! I ordered their vegan bruschetta (without cheese) and pesto gnocchi! It was so good and the atmosphere was great. The food felt wholesome and was also extremely flavorsome. One of my food highlights in Italy for sure. Super cute spot and location too!

There is a vegetarian menu as a part of the main menu which you can ask for dairy products to be removed from to make vegan. I asked in italian multiple waitresses if i could have the pesto without cheese through it and they assured me that it can be made without. Eating it i tasted no parmesan and the waitresses were very accommodating to change all our dietary requirements. Wonderful food, lovely location for people watching and the pesto had no signs of cheese. This is just my experience, others may of had a different one.

Came here, excited for gnocchi with pesto, since I thought it would be vegan.
Read moreI know Italian and therefor ordered in Italian, so no confusion or anything there. I'm also allergic to dairy and egg, so asked about the pesto on the gnocchi, to be completely sure. Didn't want to risk getting very sick on this short weekend trip.
The waitress said I absolutely could not have the pesto sauce, since it had cheese! I could have two of the spaghetti dishes but absolutely nothing with the pesto sauce.
Not writing this to shame, scare or tell previous review writers that they're wrong, this is just what happened to me.
It can be tricky travelling and put all my trust in eating establishments. It shouldn't be necessary to add my allergies, because vegan duh. However, it has somehow made people more aware of the food they're presenting and serving me.
Other than the disappointment of not having delicious gnocchi with pesto, the spaghetti aglio e olio was delicious! Perfectly al dente and with lots of garlic!

I ordered the vegan pesto gnocchi (I confirmed that the pesto is made without milk/cheese) and my sister had the vegan risotto. Both were absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back. The other vegan options from the “first dishes” section included spaghetti with tomato sauce, spaghetti with garlic and oil, vegetable tagliatelle, and the vegetable soup. The service was great and the staff were very helpful at pointing out vegan options. Highly recommend!

Thanks happy cow for telling me about this restaurant. There are many options for vegans. Staff was very knowledgeable about vegan options. Most items on the vegetarian menu can be made vegan. I was told they are in the process of making a vegan menu. Spaghetti aglio y olio is a must try. Such amazing flavors. The bruschetta was also so flavorful and fresh. We got the pesto gnocci and potatoes as well. Highly reccomend.
