Delightful Staff, Disappointing Lunch - Edit
We stopped at Akushu following a night stay on the island - it had a clearly displayed sign out front advertising the vegan menu (printed clearly with a whole page to itself within the main menu), and was easy to find on the main throughway of shops. We were warmly greeted by the staff, who remained attentive and friendly throughout, but that ultimately is where the positives stop. Perhaps simply this isn't a place for a quick lunch - it certainly was aesthetically a far cry from some of the other places we've visited on our trip, but the food was pleasant but relatively plain and simple, and when you are paying nearly three thousand yen for a small plate of tomato pasta, you'd absolutely expect more.

I think it’s a beautiful venue and the staff are extremely professional. The food is tasty but I ordered the vegan curry. What I recieved was 95% rice and 5% veggies consisting of one slice of potato two tiny pieces of broccoli a quarter of an onion an a couple of other tiny veggies. Considering how cheap veggies are it’s a surprise considering the curry is quite expensive. It would have been 5 with more veggies.
