Exquisite experience - Edit
My husband and I discovered it by chance and we have returned several times. The ingredients are unique and the flavors are exquisite! It is a must for vegans and anyone who enjoy a creative and well crafted meal.

An incredibly creative chef - Edit
This was genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Every dish was a symphony of flavors, beautifully balanced and unforgettable. The food and the mocktails were both exceptional. I recommend this place to absolutely everyone, vegan or not. It’s truly a standout experience.

Really yummy! - Edit
This place has a nice vibe. High end and the food was great. The pesto pasta was some of the best pesto pasta I ever had. You can also add beyond sausage too it.
Read moreThe mushroom skewers were yummy too. I really liked the salad it had plantains in it yum! The heart of palm calamari thing was great too. The jerk sliders were tasty. Their potato special was great. The celery mocktail was extra good. The udon was buttery and flavorful. The lychee sorbet was amazing.
Expensive but I liked it a lot. Becoming a staple.

Exactly what the SF dining scene needed - Edit
aíso is perfect! This is exactly the type of restaurant that had been missing from the bay area's vegan dining scene. The food, service, and ambiance is all on par with what id expect to find in NYC. Really cool! Finally a place open later too. It was nice to find a fully vegan spot, 10PM on a monday.
Read moreI loved every single dish that I tried, they were all creative and tasty. My favorites were the pineapple tofu skewers and the sliders. I loved the use of mango on their menu, and plantain. I did want more plantain in the salad, but thats the only thing.
All the ingredients were noticably high quality and the desserts were especially impressive!! There were two dessert options, a passionfruit sorbet with what I think was lychee jelly? And a chocolate cake. Service was top tier, I honestly wasn't coming in there expecting to get such great service since I thought it was just a bar/tapas place but I left pleasantly surprised. I'm so happy that they opened, the vibe is great and I hope they make other restaurants in the bay with more concepts

The ambiance is low key, warm and inviting. The wait staff (Sawyer) couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Every dish he suggested was unique, flavorful and delicious. We had the oyster mushroom skewers, pesto rigatoni , roasted cauliflower, and corn. We were going to skip dessert but the fondant sounded too good to skip - and it was. When we asked for ours without coconut shavings, they immediately offered a delicious walnut substitute. Highly recommend.

Just ok - Edit
Really wanted to like this place but it left me feeling underwhelmed. We tried more than half the menu and I felt like the food flavorful (mushroom skewer was incredible!) but pretty basic, small portions, and uncreative - certainly overpriced for what it was. Service was friendly but not terribly attentive. I hate to leave a negative review on a vegan spot, especially a new one, but I don’t think I will be back.

Vibey vegan food in the Castro - Edit
Great place for sharing plates in the Castro. Newly opened with drink menu and tapas eats. Excellent date spot as table seating is limited, also includes some bar sitting.
Read moreOrdered a mocktail not on the menu (ask about mocktails). For food, ordered the beet tartare, oyster mushroom skewers, jer sliders, and a salad not on the menu.
Everything came out quickly and was fantastic. The beet tartare was a bit bland, not sure what it was missing. The mushroom skewers were exceptionally tasty and filling feeling, I assume they had a fair amount of oil to create their rich feeling. The sliders were my favorite and highly recommend. Ask about desert as it's not on the menu. I can't recall what I ordered, but it was something with chocolate and an ice cream.
So glad to have tried this new vegan location!

Veggies in the Castro - Edit
Happy to see a new plant based spot nearby. Mushroom skewers were amazing and the yucca fries were delicious, I could eat those all day, every day. I also enjoyed the hearts of palm. The passion fruit dessert was very refreshing and tasty. Great spot for date night, it's a smaller space and intimate. I'm excited to come back to try the items I didn't get to try!
