Yummy :) - Edit

I've been there days ago with Omni friends. They were amazed on how good vegan food can be :) yay!!!
I had the burrito salad and cheesy chips, and hubby had a burger.
Amazing 'junk' food and staff super friendly!
Highly recommended!

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff, Has biscuits for takeaway

Cons: It's not a 'cons' but has to write sthg: tiny

Best vegan burgers - Edit

Best vegan burgers in Tokyo! The cheese fries we off their head. The staff are so nice and there is an English menu available. Pricing is really good for the amount you get and also the quality!!

Pros: Cheese fries, English menu

Very kind staff and great burgers - Edit

My family are strictly vegetarian and had come to visit me in Tokyo. I had not checked the closing time of the restaurant properly and we arrived to the restaurant late. Nevertheless, the restaurant's staff invited us in, fired up the kitchen and stuffed our bellies with delicious vegan burgers that are rightfully praised in many other reviews. I had the vegan Sloppy Joe - the chick peas add a nice bite to the Sloppy Joe.

The two staff on duty that evening went truly above and beyond the call of duty, and thanks to them, my family didn't freeze and starve that night! And the food was delicious. I'm not a strict vegetarian but I will certainly visit again for the food. Thanks Ain Soph.Ripple, keep up the good work!

Pros: Delicious food, Great Service, Great location for those visiting Shinjuku

Awesome burger - Edit

Had the cheeseburger and it was great. Good sized portions. Interior was interesting and the staff were nice. Definitely check it out if you need a quick bite to eat.

Pros: good location, good selection of food

Good Burger - Edit

The first time I went there, I had the Ripple Cheese Burger. The patty was tasty and had a great texture, it wasn't mushy and it held together. The sauce was good as well. The bun was too chewy for my taste. The cheese tasted a little cheesy.

On my second visit, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Burger and the Cheese Fries. The "chicken" itself was quite strange in texture but had a nice crispy coating. The tartar sauce in it was delicious. As for the Cheese Fries, they were crispy but again, not very cheesy in taste.

The staff were very friendly. Overall, my experience here was pleasant and I would recommend it to any vegan or vegetarian as a place to eat.

Pros: Takeout OK!, Tasty burger., Friendly staff.

Cons: Chewy bun.

The best vegan fast food place in Tokyo - Edit

For food, this is 5 stars. I'm pretty sure this is the best burger I've had in Tokyo [Edit as of Feb 2017: Mr Farmer's burgers are on the same level.] Definitely better than Hanada Rosso and Island Veggie Burger. I haven't had the one from Veganic in Roppo yet. But in any case, this was a very good burger, even my omni friends want to go again. It's pretty substantial, comes with generous toppings and the cheeseburger version comes with a really cheesy sauce. The patty is on the soft side (as they usually are if they don't use seitan) but all the tastier for it. My lunch buddies also loved the burrito salad bowl. I had the mixed salad and that was very good too although I could do without the bland soy nuggets. The muffin was top notch. Atmosphere is nice and the price is most definitely right.

The only thing that bothered me were the very uncomfortable stools to sit on (no backrest, and too small) and the absence of separate tables (there is only one long communal table, plus one long counter along the window).

The lack of comfort is really a downer. With better chairs and separate tables this would be one of my absolute favorites in Tokyo. Hope they will open another restaurant with the same menu but better furniture elsewhere. Shibuya please, or Futakotamagawa!

EDIT APRIL 2016: came back and this time they had a sort of thousand island / "Aurora" sauce on the burger I didn't care for. Next time I'll ask them to skip that. WTF!

Updated from previous review on 2016-04-02

Pros: Top notch food, nice menu, Nice atmosphere, Very reasonably priced

Cons: Uncomfortable chairs, No separate tables

Great Vegan Fast Food! - Edit

This is a great little place for vegan burgers and deserts. I loved the vegan cheeseburger and ice cream. The restaurant is in a great location, close to all the bars and nighttime craziness of Tokyo.
The staff were great too. I would defiantly return here!

Pros: Great food, Great location, Nice staff

lovely staff, great burgers! - Edit

This place is honestly so great. The staff were lovely and the food was fast and so yummy. I got the cheeseburger with fries and it had the best vegan cheese I have ever had. I also got one of the banana dark chocolate muffins which was so good as well. Basically in love with this place. Easy to find too.

Pros: Food taste and quality, Decent portion sizes, Lovely staff

Epic - Edit

Hunting around Tokyo for vego food is a massive task at times and I was so desperately hungry when we found this. AND IT WAS MY WILDEST DREAMS. Amazing vegan burger selection and literally ordered everything on the menu with v. cheese, good for junky vegans

Pros: Good selection, Junk food

amazing! - Edit

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here- lovely staff, nice space and most importantly delicious food. My 65y/o meat eating dad loved the food too, which I think is saying something. I would recommend this place to anyone and I can't wait to go back soon!

Well, ... - Edit

Nice location and relatively reasonable but I did not really like the soy meat for their crispy chicken burger because of the peculiar smell and taste. I also did not like the oil that they use. Staff members were very nice.

Mmmmm - Edit

Ordered the ripple cheeseburger and the cheesiness hit the spot man. It was sooo cheesy. Really good though! The patty itself was a bit bland in taste, and was kind of salty though, and also had that mushy texture that most veg patties have. The whole burger was really mushy, but the buns were crisp which countered it nicely. The taste was all in the sauces. The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly. The price was a little high, but if felt like the portion was just right. It truly is a treat, but afterward, I felt a little sick, probably because it really is unhealthy vegan food. I think the taste still makes up for it though! Will come again to try the Mac and cheese and the burrito bowl :)

Update December 2016
Burrito bowl is my favorite, and go to order ;)
Crispy Chicken Buger is an indulgence, but really great to, crispy and oily but so heavy, still recommend it, but definitely the least healthy!
Chocolate chip cookie is huge, a little bit pricey but definitely worth
Have yet to try the falafel burger, waffle, and French toast, but will update when!

Pros: Soul food, Cheese, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Little expensive

Cute little cafe style restaurant. Everything is vegan and amazing!! The Mac and Cheese tasted exactly like the Kraft one I used to eat when I was a little kid.

Pros: Delicious. , Easy to find the restaurant., Reasonably priced.

Great way to start the day! - Edit

A cozy place with great atmosphere and delicious food. We came for brunch (11:30) and had the soup of the day (tomato - yum!), a salad bowl and two burgers and were all set for a day of sightseeing. The place was full and lively and the staff was extremely friendly.
Highly recommended!

Pros: Great vegan food, easily found, close to Shinjuku station

Cons: none :)

Lots of food, good quality - Edit

I saw some poor reviews on HappyCow for being very expensive but with very small portions. I'd been here before for dessert, but unknowingly my brother and his gf picked this for me the first night I was visiting them, and I warned him on the way about the small portion reviews (he's a hungry growing boy). But it turns out we needn't have worried! I had a taco salad which was huge and delicious. My brother had a green curry, which was plenty of food for him, and his gf had fried soy meat and rice, and as a dedicated fried chicken eater, was suitably impressed. We split two desserts between us - the lemon cheesecake and chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was *hypnotic*.

This came to just under 60,000 JPY (~$60) in total.

This place has a lot of good food. - Edit

'A lot' is subjective, but so far I have tried the falafel burger with fries, the burrito bowl salad, the ripple burger, and the rum raisin ice cream. Each one has tasted amazing so far. I recommend this place. I actually get satiated off of the meals which is surprising given how small I expect portion sizes to be at vegan places. I think the portions are good.

Pros: The food is yummy, The staff is very kind I think, Good portions

Cons: I'm nitpicking but organic ketchup would be cool

lovely ! - Edit

I was very keen to eat here as it has great reviews. I had the ripple cheese burger and it was delicious. The waiter's friendly attitude and smile topped of the good experience !

Pros: Good menu options , Friendly staff, Friendly and relaxing atmosphere

Awesome burgers - Edit

We had total burger cravings and after a quick Google search were directed here. And boy were we not disappointed. Such deliciousness! Unfortunately they were out of the "chicken" burger when we got there, so we didn't get to try it, but the regular cheese burger was great.
We ordered the French toast to go and ate it for breakfast the next day. Such noms!

Pros: Kind personnel, Awesome burgers

Cons: A bit expensive

THA CHEEZE FRIEZ!! - Edit

OMG - have practically been living off bread rolls and water for the last 5 days until I discovered this place! Such a friendly atmosphere and THE FOOD IS KILLER, cheese fries are a must have - falafel burger was sold out when I got there (last order on weekends is 8:30) BUT I will be back! I ordered the salad bowl, ah mazing. Got back to my hotel room and ate it all up with 2 toothbrush's as chopsticks because I forgot to grab some utensils before I left, so fyi don't let that happen to you. THANKU FOR SAVING MEEEE!! 😁

Great burgers and dessert! - Edit

Very welcoming staff and great burger spot with VERY good vegan burgers and cheese fries. Unfortunately the mac and cheese was out so I wasn't able to try that. Also offers a few dessert options. The entire staff spoke English and Japanese. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Tokyo!

Best burgers and tiramisu ever!! - Edit

A local vegan recommended this little restaurant to us so we knew we had to visit. We ordered the cheese burger and felafel burger, both were great but the falafel was the pick.
Although full from dinner we had to try the tiramisu and I'm so glad we did, it was AMAZING, the best ever!
The staff here are super helpful and friendly also :) Definitely give this place a try!

Great vegan food - Edit

Had a really great meal here in a city where it can be hard to find convenient vegetarian options. A full vegan menu was an absolute bonus, and the food was delicious as well! I had the falafel burger and fries, and everything was great. It's a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. The decor is great and the staff were also really friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Their chicken burger is fantastic. Definitely the best vegan burger I ever had. Went there four times during my stay in Tokyo. Also the staff is lovely.

refreshing spot in Tokyo! - Edit

Entirely vegan menu, which was fantastic considering how hard it is to find vegan food in Tokyo. Staff was extremely friendly and the ones serving me (both times I went) spoke very good English. One of them even wrote a kind note on our takeout bag. Food was reasonably priced and fake meat/cheese etc was tasty. Non-vegan parents also loved it. Atmosphere is clean and friendly.

Pros: reasonably priced, kind staff, delicious food

The best - Edit

We came here on a Friday night after a day out in Tokyo to save us cooking, and I'm so glad we came.

The food here is phenomenal. I had been following them on Instagram for some time and finally was able to go and was blown away. For the most part, vegan food in Japan has been good to very good, but never amazing. This place is amazing.

My partner had the burrito bowl, and my daughter and I both had the cheeseburger. We all loved our meals and ate every last bite. I also splurged and had the french toast which was great. The burger was one of the best I've had, anywhere. It tasted similar to the gardein burger patty you can get in the US and Canada and with everything else they stuff into the burger was just awesome.
Ice cream was also great, we had the rum raisin and it was just right, not overly sweet.

Definitely make your way to come here, it's well worth it. Can be a little pricey, but really it's worth it.

Now that Rappa Cafe has unfortunately closed, this is my favourite spot in Tokyo.

My only recommendation/suggestion is to try and have a gluten-free menu.

Pros: Food is SO good, Friendly service

Cons: Have to walk through Kabuki-cho, A little expensive

Incredible Vegan Junk Food - Edit

Ain Soph Ripple has quickly become my favorite restaurant and I can't stress how happy I am that I found it. The cheeseburger is absolutely delicious, albeit a little messy. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you're in Shinjuku, give this place a try! It's about a 10 minute walk away from the station is worth every penny.

Pros: Great taste, courteous staff, comfortable atmosphe

Cons: Service can be a little slow (but worth waiting fo

Went for a dinner, my partner and I both had the chicken burgers. They were delicious. The buns were soft and fresh, the texture and flavour of the chicken patty was on point and the tartar added moisture and tangyness. Definitively recommended! Actually liked these burgers more than Lord of the Fries back in Melbourne mmmmmmm.

Pros: Reasonable price , Friendly staff , Great food

Cons: None

I swear I heard angels singing and shit when I came here and got food. Burrito bowl and French fries were so damn good and it was actually a good-sized portion WOW never thought I'd find that in Japan!!!! The staff are super dope and speak fluent English too. I'm going here everyday for the rest of my Tokyo trip

great vegan fast food! - Edit

with burgers, burritos, French toast and even Mac and cheese, Ain Soph Ripple is a perfect place to grab some tasty vegan food in one of tokyo's busiest tourists spots. friendly staff, reasonable prices and a wide all-vegan menu.

Pros: reasonably priced, convenient location , fast service

Cons: quite small - not always a table

bangin' burrito bowl - Edit

went here a few days ago, on my last night in tokyo. had the burrito bowl salad. it was deelish – and a fair portion. good guac and vegan sour cream. chunks of fake chicken. i loved it. 1000 yen / 10 bucks. splurged on the 700 yen chocolate covered granola for dessert. also really nice. it's hard to find this place without gps. i failed the first try. one employee speaks fluent english. bench seating. free cold water. eclectic international crowd.

Pros: Tasty, Close to Shinjuku station

Cons: Hard to find

Best Vegan "Junk Food" in Tokyo!!! - Edit

Wow - I've been multiple times now and have tried just about everything (except the desserts). I'll say it again: wow - this is good stuff. They also have a fairly decent selection of vegan-friendly beer.

Pros: Excellent food., Casual vibe., Friendly staff.

Cons: Not an ideal location. Use your map app.

Great spot for a vegan burger - Edit

My husband and I had the cheese burger, fries and beer. I personaly never had a vegan burger so tasty. The place its cozy, food great. A bit pricey, but worth it. Thank you Happy Cow!

Cons: Price

Excellent place! - Edit

As a vegetarian in Tokyo, variety is not the spice of my life, but this place gives me a nice variety and I don't have to worry about whether or not what I'm eating is vegetarian. I pop into ain.soph ripple whenever I'm in Shinjuku and recommend it to whoever I can, vegetarian or not. It's got a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. I'm fond of the falafel burger, but their chicken burger is also fantastic. I'm currently working my way through the menu to find my favorite. If you're getting takeout, give it a little time - so don't be in a rush! And, yes, it is a little on the pricey side (about 800-1000yen for just the burger), but that tends to be the price of a decent burger joint anywhere and since I grab a burger every two weeks or so, I don't mind paying a little extra for good, vegan food.

Pros: great food! and big portions, nice atmosphere and clean facility, friendly staff (and english-speaking)

Cons: sometimes can be a while waiting for takeout, a little pricey

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

delicious food but a bit pricey - Edit

The burger and burrito are delicious. Cute little vegan cafe feel. One star off because ¥1,200 for a burger is a little pricey (¥200 extra for a side of fries). The best vegeburger in Japan was Morphos Cafe in Kyoto at ¥800 with a side of wedges.

Favorite Vegan Food in Tokyo - Edit

Can't recommend this place higher. Like all the Ain Soph restaurants they have some of the best vegan food I've ever had, which means even more considering Tokyo hasn't been the best place for vegans to live. The prices are a little high, but it's understandable for probably all the work and imports they have to have for this place to work. Also, love that they do takeout!

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

Delicious! - Edit

I had the cheeseburger and fries, and both were exactly what I was after. It's always great when a classic is executed so well. Not to mention it's so nice to walk into a restaurant and not worry about cross contamination. Will definitely be going back!

Pros: Vegan only, Friendly staff, Clean and nicely furnished

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

Amazing burgers - Edit

The falafel burger was amazing and the best burger I ever had in my life. The bun is extremely fluffy and the falafel is crispy and delicious. I also tried the chicken burger and it tasted like real chicken and it was kind of scary, but still good.
Because of the amazing falafel burger I will come back to Tokyo sooner than expected, because I already miss it so much!!
Next to T's Tan Tan, Ripple is my favourite restaurant in Tokyo.

Pros: Friendly staff, fluffy buns, amazing falafel burger

Cons: Credit card payment only over ¥3000

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

needs more menu choices! - Edit

Same as previous commenter about disappointment at lack of non-fake meat stuff on the menu. falafel burger was good but maybe a bit overpriced for what it is. still, nutritious, filling, vegan food wont get too many complaints from me

Oishi! - Edit

This place is fantastic for vegans, vegetarians, or simply people interested in trying new flavors. The ripple soy chicken burger is “a must have” and the ripple cheese burger has a vegan cheddar cheese that is very oishi! It is a big pricier than other places, but this is because the food is healthier, less processed, and specialized since it is 100% vegan. As a vegan who has eater in more than 30 different vegan restaurants around the world, I can say this is one of the best burger places I have ever eater in the world!

Pros: taste, central location, very friendly

Cons: a bit pricy but worth it

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

Fake meat patty :( - Edit

I was a bit disappointed that most of the burger were made from fake meat patty. If you are vegetarian because you don't like the taste of meat like me, your choices will be quite limited. I had a falafel burger but I was really hopping for a grains or tofu patty so quite disappointed about this.
However nice staff, English menu, nice location, clean an fashionable store.

Pros: not too expensive, nice location, friendly staff

Cons: fake meat patty

Nice place and excellent food - Edit

My first time to visit Tokyo and I was recommended to this place. I had a cheese burger, soup and herbal tea. The vegan beef patty was a little salty but overall is very delicious! I also bought snowball and cookie home. My family just love them!

Decent - Edit

We had a Burger and a Burrito, both perfectly acceptable but really nothing special. It was nice to have Western food for a change though. Service was good, place was fairly quiet when we arrived.

Shared a dessert - french toast - it was filling and sweet but a bit too sloppy to really wow us.

We were in Shinjuku for a week and found this place towards the end. We probably would have been more than once but found that we preferred Ts TanTan and Lima Cafe more (or they were just more convieniently located for where we were at that time in the day). But it is hard to complain too much about any vegan restaurant in Japan so keep up the good work!

Pros: Modern, Some English spoken, Power sockets for customers

Cons: Not a huge variety, Desserts okay, Expensive beer

All vegan! & very delicious burgers - Edit

The place was easy to find, the signs were in English and the staff also spoke perfect English. The food is all vegan and very delicious!

Pros: Power outlets at the tables, Good-looking western style

Cons: Not too cheap

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

Glad it exists. - Edit

The place is small/cute/every seat has an outlet for charging your mobile device (major points, and an extra star). The salad was AMAZING, slightly grilled mixed veggies with quinoa and amazing dressing. Wish I had gotten the large, go big! However the "chiken" burger was slightly disappointing. Very massive/messy and way to much sauce. It was ok but just not my fave. The staff was friendly enough and they had a "tip" jar. I was strictly told never to tip in Japan bc it's offensive unless a high class Ryokan. I asked for water and never got it, not the end of the world, but I'm one of those people that won't ask twice. I should work on that.

Pros: Vegan in JAPAN!

Agree soy chicken burger is the best burger ! - Edit

Easy walk from shinjuku station area. Its not the restaurant on the corner its on same block just nextdoor to the corner restaurant. You will see funky wooden frontage. My partner tried the ripple burger and i had the chicken burger, i tried both and thought mine was the best. The sauce on it was so morish amd the bun so soft! First time ive tried soy meat and it was delicious. Try the beers too, funky labels. French fries yummy couldnt fault anything. Clean and staff friendly amd modern. Definitely come here.

Chicken burger is awesome. - Edit

I always go for the safe option when trying a new restaurant. I got the chicken burger minus the tartar sauce, and the vegan-cheese fries. I made the mistake of ordering them seperate instead of in a set, so I got waaaay more fries than I planned to eat, but they were yummy, so I scarfed them all down anyway. Lol. Atmosphere is homey, the music is good (urban, pop, alternative), and some of the staff speak perfect English. Seibu-Shinjuku station is kind of out of the way (but not terribly), but it's worth the trip if you're looking for yummy vegan food. Next time, I'll be trying the burrito. :)

Pros: All vegan, English speaking staff, Everything can be take out

Cons: Off the beaten path, ...no wifi?

Yes! Delicios! - Edit

Just ate here two dinners in two days.

I had Crispy Chicken burger and Fries with cheese sauce, and it was delicious.

Just one comment - if you do not like the taste of vegan cheese, as I do, avoid it. I was hoping for some new "asian" taste; bad luck. It tastes all the same all around the globe :)

On day two I had the same chicken again and on tops - “beef” burger – both delicious.

Thinking about it, the Chicken burger is hitting my TOP 3 Vegan burgers list...

I need more!

Omnomnomnomnom!

Pros: super nice and friendly staff, nice interior and outdoor seating, serving time +/- 10 minutes

Cons: may be harder to find

Tasty. - Edit

We enjoyed the cheese burgers with cheese fries.
Very potatoy french fries, which one of us enjoy and the other does not. The cheese helped it go down the other persons hatch though.
Very friendly staff. Overall very pleased.
First come, first served basis, so you do not need to book a dinner table, which you have at the Journey restaurant.

Pros: Ta, st, y

Perfect for junk food vegans! - Edit

Great little cafe in a perfect location. It was easy to find using Google Maps. I had a cheeseburger and hubby had a chicken burger. They were both great! The accompanying fries were a little bland. I plan on going back to try the burrito!

Pros: All menu items are vegan.

Cons: A little expensive.

great burgers - Edit

We had the cheeseburger and the chicken burger, cheese fries and French toast for dessert. Everything was really tasty, although I preferred the cheeseburger due to the extra ingredients in the burger - and I'm a sucker for avocado. French toast reminded me of bread and butter pudding, sour cream worked really well with it.

Pros: cheese sauce is super tasty

Cons: on the pricier side

Very friendly staff and a cool little shop. A tiny bit hard to find at first but when you know it's there you keep going back! The falafel burger is delicious and the place is very clean.

Pros: Fast service, Reasonable price, Convenient for rail travel

Cons: Hard to notice at first

Best vegan burger I have ever tasted! - Edit

I was a bit skeptical at first going into another western inspired food restaurant, but once I tried their burgers it was another story. I tested both their faux Chicken Burger and Quinoa Chicken Salad.

The burger had the best condensed texture and was super filling. The taste was rich and convincingly like chicken. It didn't feel too soft either like many vegan burgers do. The mayo they made was pretty decent too.

The salad however was okay. Nothing special but good value for the money.

Overall the food here was better than what I had in Tokyo. Prices reasonable and the local had spacious enough soace (to be tokyo). Cant say much about vibe, okay friendly staff, and in general what you would expect from eating at some fast food joint.

If you only have a few places to pick the food at Ripple will not disappoint at least. Only place I felt compelled to return to. Vegan food in Tokyo is unfortunately that great and most of it is western inspired.

Pros: Food, Location, Inexpensive

Cons: Greasy

So delicious! - Edit

I was so excited to find this place after travelling in Asia for months. A place with vegan cheese on the menu was just what I needed! Their cheese fries really hit the spot (I now order them ever time I visit!) and after much deliberation I've decided that the chicken burger is my favourite burger. They make the patty themselves and keep the toppings simple with a great tartar sauce and crunchy red cabbage. They have the best soft buns too and I love that they serve the burgers in burger bags so that you can eat without getting totally covered in sauce!

Everyone who works here is super friendly too and they've always been happy to fill up my reusable water bottle which is another definite plus.

Awesome burritos and soda - Edit

So, I had the burrito while my boyfriend had the cheese burger. Mine was so good... a bit to much rice but it didn't get in the way of me enjoying the meal.

The burger was.. hum... ok but a bit boring and it literally broke in pieces while we ate it. The burger didn't taste much, but the fries was very good.

We had the Mexican IPA and the mandarine soda which both was good, specially the soda.

The place is very relaxed and very close to the busy streets of Shinjuku, but still very calm and nice. The menu is in english and the staff is also english speaking and in that way it was a nice change for us who try to eat as much Japanese and vegetarian as possible, but don't speak so much Japanese.

I can truly recommend this place for lunch or a ordinary dinner.

Pros: Burritos , English menu, Relaxing place

Cons: Cheeseburger

Meh. - Edit

Finally dropped by for lunch here to see what all the hoopla was about. The taste of the burgers is good, and they are made well to imitate "real" ones, but..."vegan" label or not, frankly the food here doesn't feel all that healthy. It was filling, but made me feel a bit run-down and lethargic for the whole afternoon afterwards, which normally never happens with other vegan food.

I also found the prices a bit high (1000yen for a burger, 450yen for a regular tea made with a supermarket box teabag?). And, the listed prices don't include tax, which is something that other veg restaurants generally do not do...disappointing. In the end, the bill for a very basic lunch (burger, soup, drink) was about double what I generally pay for most veg lunches in Tokyo, but for clearly lower food quality.

Location is also a bit more inconvenient than may seem...it is actually a fair walk from Shinjuku station, in fact close to the Okubo area. Inside, the atmosphere is pleasant enough but bland...just a long table with basic stools. Certainly not the place for a relaxed extended meal, but fine for a quick bite.

Finally, something that annoyed both myself and a friend: when exactly did it become fashionable to make burgers and sandwiches so lopsidedly loaded, and on small/fragile bread such that they are almost impossible to eat without making a ridiculous mess? (This is not just a failing here...we've noticed it as a bit of an unpleasant trend in general in the last couple of years.) And of course with this being a vegan burger, the "meat" falls apart even more. Everything on the menu is apparently also available for takeout, but just note that this is *not* a burger made for eating on the go.

In short, the only real advantage to this place for me is as a last resort to take non-vegetarian friends to. But personally, I can pass...there's lots of better quality, healthier, cheaper vegan food available in Tokyo.

Pros: Taste like real burgers

Cons: Does not feel all that healthy, Prices a bit high, and taxes extra, Very bland, quick-bite-only atmosphere

Best Vegan burgers (in the world?) - Edit

I might come from Sweden where finding good vegan food is a piece of cake. But these burgers are still the best I've ever had, anywhere in the world. The burrito bowl and tiramisu are also heavenly. Can't say anything negative about this place. If something it's a little bit hard to find the first time.

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Moderate price

Cons: A little bit hard to find

What a great find - Edit

Using a map to try and find this place recommended on Happy Cow and realised that it's just near the hotel where I am staying. Bonus! The food is delicious and the service very prompt and friendly. It's not traditional Japanese food and more a salad/burger place which is fine. Recommended for a healthy vegan meal for lunch or dinner in cafe style environment.

Pros: Fresh food, Yummy salads and burgers, Great staff

Love this place - Edit

My school is very close to this restaurant so ever since arriving to Japan I've been to it several times. The place is lovely and the staff very nice, but the food is even better. I haven't even tried the burgers yet, but the burrito, salad, soup (they change the soup every day/week, not sure how often), and cheese fries are amazing. I definitely recommend eating here.
You can have a light lunch, such as salad + soup set and water for 950¥, and other options are well priced in my opinion. Their cheese and vegan meat is the closest to real flavor and texture I've had, and like I said, I have yet to try their burgers, but they look very good.
The service is fast and they have plugs on the tables. They also offer desserts such as tiramisu and take out is available. Excellent vegan option!

Pros: Healthy "junk food", Staff is very nice and I think they can speak engl, Good atmosphere

Definitely worth a visit - Edit

I was in Tokyo for a week and was desperate to try this place after looking it up- it did not disappoint! It's a little bit tucked away but is a pretty easy walk from the centre of Shinjuku. The staff speak English and Japanese and are very friendly. The menu is limited to burgers, a burrito and a couple of salads, plus soup and fries as a side, but there are also cute vegan treats like muffins and snack bars. Ended up going a couple of times over the week so got to try various things- everything was gorgeous, especially the burrito and the onion soup! For vegans it's a must-visit, but also delicious for anyone! Would definitely reccomend.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Great atmosphere

Cons: Slightly limited choice

Super yummy! - Edit

I had the burrito, it was delicious. The menu is small - a few burgers, burrito, salads and soups, but everything is good quality. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend it! Service in Japanese and English.

Good burger patty. - Edit

Me and my wife dinned there last night and we loved the burger, very good patty, very meaty. We also liked the burrito, the french toast was amazing, what a surprise. Also, the cheese fries were just like Ireland Potato: like the real thing, only made out of soy and mustard. The waffle could have used some icecream or whipped cream, it was just a simple waffle, and the soup was regular and small portioned. They definitely satisfied our hunger. We will be b back whenever we're in Japan again.

Pros: great american style food, nice decor, friendly staff

Cons: a little too expensive, a little too cold inside, freezing water in the bathroom
