Christmas 🎄 Social - Edit
I organised a Christmas meet-up vegan meal for a large group of people from as far as Bedford, Dunstable and Hertfordshire. The team at Ahimsa were so accommodating and allowed us to come after hours, decorated the tables with a Christmas theme, dressed as elves and offered us complimentary drinks. It was the most festive and fun atmosphere and the food was truly wonderful. I had a nourish bowl with chilli tofu and jerk tofu. ( because I couldn’t decide which to go for) it tasted wonderful and flavoursome and so filling. I had a delicious turmeric latte which is highly recommended . And the polenta cake was awesome. I also took home a muffin and date shortcake. There was soo much choice - at least 10 different dessert options. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended. Thank you Ahimsa team for taking such good care of our group this weekend and the outstanding service , where you constantly kept checking we were ok. Nothing was too much effort.

Uninteresting flavours - Edit
Service was great, food and coffee was lacking.
Read moreOrdered an oat milk flat white (apparently you pay extra for milk but I didnt notice at the time). It didnt taste good and I wondered whether the oat milk was a cheaper one. The wrap was unremarkable in flavour and very wet and slimy when I got to the bottom. The falafel in the wrap were good.
Based on this experience I probably wouldn't be inclined to give them another go.

Tasty but typical vegan fast food (with healthy choices available) - Edit
I have not actually visited the café but ordered takeaways several times and I have tried almost all the types of dishes and they have never disappointed. There is a good selection of fast food items such as burgers, wraps, bowls, breakfast dishes, desserts and occasionally vegan fish and chips. I even ordered the waffles with ice-cream once and it came with the ice-cream in good condition even though it was summer.
Read moreThe prices are reasonable but the items are fairly standard, nothing particularly creative or original dishes. However, whilst Harrow has many vegetarian restaurants, the number of vegan-only options is limited so it is good that it has remained open for so long.
Pros: Tasty food, Good range of healthy and fast food options, Not too expensive
Cons: Fairly standard, nothing original or creative , Closes early

Really Lovely! - Edit
Ahimsa is a real gem! I made a quick stop for a lemon and poppyseed muffin and a Apple, Ginger and Carrot juice - both of which were delicious. The place had a lovely vibe and staff were great with allergies and were super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try the full breakfasts!

40p for oatmilk in your coffee - Edit
I expect to pay extra for dairy alternatives in a regular coffee shop or cafe, but doing so in a vegan coffee shop is a bit rubbish, service is also a bit chaotic albeit friendly, items come one at a time, always forgetting to ask if you want sugar with your coffee or even bringing a spoon. Shame really, used to be so nice.

Tasty build your own bowls & waffles - Edit
Got some build your own bowls: a jerk quorn with salad & quinoa, & a red lentil, rice and salad bowl. They were pretty good for food that’s already pre-prepared. Medium bowls are more than big enough. We also got a smoothie (quite subtle taste), chai latte (delicious!) and a waffle with fruit & salted caramel ice cream (oh yes!).

Excellent vegan cafe - Edit
Four of us had a lovely family lunch here. The health bowls are a generous size (we all had medium) and super tasty. Loved the juices, cakes, pancakes, turmeric latte and coffee. Friendly people and a nice vibe. Worth booking in advance.

Wholesome Food - Edit
You enter this cafe and it just looks like a bog standard cafe but don’t be fooled. The food is healthy, wholesome and delicious.
Read moreI went with my 12 year old niece (not vegan). She had the blueberry pancakes with coconut yoghurt and fruit sauce. She loved them. I had a taste. They weren’t too sweet and they were filling and wholesome.
I chose some healthy porridge because I knew what I wanted afterwards. Cheesy nachos. They were amazing 😋 Don’t leave without ordering a portion.
Pros: Healthy, Wholesome Food, Lovingly Made, Cheesy Nachos
Cons: Don’t be fooled by basic cafe set up

Not the biggest venue and people tend to hang around chatting so make sure you book a table when the restaurants open up again post covid. Great choice of food but could definitely benefit from offering more oil-free WFPB choices.
