Not for vegans - Edit
I agree that if you're vegan you have kuch better places to have your hummus and eggplant salad.
Read moreThe plov if you're vegetarian is also too bland and clearly smells butter (I only realised it's not vegan after ordering it) and it's not good at all.
You have three salads (two very basic), hummus and grilled veggies for vegans only. Pass on this place.
Pros: Nice interior design, Beer on tap!
Cons: Too few vegan options, Hugely verpriced!

Great lunch - Edit
We were nicely seated outside in the sun. The Hoummous was very good. I also liked the crispy eggplant and grilled vegetables, they were better then most I’ve had of these dishes in Uzbekistan (and I ate this all the time…).
Read moreWhat’s especially good about this restaurant is that allergenes are clearly listed on the menu, which is a good way to avoid dairy and eggs in vegetarian dishes.

almost no option - Edit
Most reviews here show pictures and describe dishes that I believe are not vegan.
Read moreI went there excited to try some vegan(ized) uzbek food. I was looking forward to eat some plov, khanum, etc.
When I arrived there, we were impressed by the space. It looked very nice! You can see how they cook too.
I explained my case (i.e. ‘hello, i am vegan’) with a cheatsheet. Luckily they understood English, so we could have a conversation. The first waiter mentioned that Khanum and plov were fine, but then I asked a second and he said that both had (few) butter.
That was a deception. And confused me quite a bit. I then thought about having the crispy eggplant salad but they had none 😅.
Ended up eating hummus (very few bread) and the pickles.
Overall, few food and overpriced!

The best veggie versions - Edit
This might be the best vegetarian Uzbek food I have tried. They didn't have the vegetarian plov available but the Uzbek starter platter(the eggplant rolls are especially delicious), the hanym and somsa were very flavorful.

Good options and price - Edit
A few vegan options including vegetable dumplings but check if butter used. Lots of vegetarian dishes and the staff are helpful. Good prices for the area too.

I would be very careful ordering plov in uzbekistan. The greasy "butter" you were experiencing was more than likely lamb fat. They cook everything in lamb fat...even their vegetable somsas are cooked in lamb fat. Sorry to be the bearer of gross news. :(
