Not recommended for vegans

More of a African-American style bar / mini-club serving African-inspired barfood that sounded more to me like typical soulfood. Asked about vegan options and he told me it was a strange request and that in Africa they don't have vegans. Recommended the jolof rice which I got. It reminded me of a rice side dish at a Mexican restaurant, pretty disappointing. Don't recommend if you're looking for a decent vegan meal.

Delicious Vegan Platter

The vegetarian plate is the only option for vegans here, but it's delicious, so I have zero complaints. It comes with your choice of rice (fried or jollof), beans, spinach, mixed veggies, and plantains. I requested jollof rice and extra spinach instead of the mixed veggies. You can also get a side of egusi, which is vegan.

The rice has a hint of spice and she gave me some extra sauce on the side. OMG it amplified the flavor even higher! Give me all the jollof carbs!

The spinach was also delicious and flavorful. There was a hint of spice, which made me love them more.

Plantains were cooked and sweet. Perfect for ending the meal.
