Friday late lunch

Interesting menu. Managers and owners were attentive.

Pros: Atmosphere and views, Managers

Cons: could have a few more vegetarian alternatives.

So homey and such a gem

I walked an hour total to get here, as there are very few options in the area. I could’ve gone to a chain but when I saw this place I just needed to try it & support.

The food isn’t blow your mind, but it’s so homey and so unique for HK that it really didn’t bother me, it hit that homey spot!

Portions were decently sized. Not cheap but again, happy to support

Highlights: the veggie stew, and super tasty potatoes
Lowlights: the lack of flavour in the “Rolex” wrap #Veganuary

Pros: Lots of WFPB options , Comforting food in vg option desert , In office building, so quiet and unique!

Cons: They forgot my side of beans I really wanted, Rolex Wrap was a little bland

Lovely food!

This is a great little gem! Loved the vegan daily soup and the 5 bean burger! I’ve also had the vegan rolex there but prefer the burger. Lovely staff. The place gets busy during lunch time as obviously it’s popular with the locals/office workers of the building. Can recommend if you’re in the area!

Lovely African inspired cafe/restaurant

Finished a hike and ended up near this cafe. It’s also a short walking distance from Wong Chuk Hang MTR. It’s in what looks like an office building so was a bit of a surprise to take the lift up to 15/F and find this gorgeous cafe/rest. Loved the decor, African patterned cushions and carvings, and some unique African inspired dishes. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Gorgeous view.

They have clear labelling and several vegan options, including vegan soup, African curries, pasta, “rolex” rolls, and burgers. I chose five bean burger as was keen to try the teff bread which looks and tastes like a pancake😄and lovely coffee with oat milk. Would be keen to come back.

Also has a large coffee and tea menu. Enjoyed a latte with oatmilk.

They have a pretty bar if you want to try happy hour.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labelled , Gorgeous African decor , View

Cons: Check opening hours (not always open for dinner)

Wonderful food with amazing view

Up on the 15th floor overlooking the boats on the water, you could come here just for the view! Specialise in coffee (which is strong) and tea, and have a coffee cart on the ground floor on weekdays. Relaxed space with friendly service. The pumpkin veggie wrap ("rolex") was fantastic, and the Beyond burger, served on a gluten-free Injera bun (that looks/tastes just like a pancake) was great as well. Glad to see more options for vegans and vegetarians out this side of HK Island.
