tasty waffles - Edit
I visited the place because I wanted to try some vegan waffles.
Read moreThey did not have the English menu on display, but when I asked for it, they gave me one.
I went for the "apple melody" and the person at the counter informed me that they don't have apples, so they serve it with rhubarb compote, which was already part of the dish.
The waffle itself was really tasty, I even questioned if it was really vegan, I never had such a yummy vegan waffle. The toppings were good as well, but I could not taste the salted caramel sauce, maybe because it was not vegan so they removed it from the vegan version, or maybe it was so mild? I don't know.
Anyway, in general, it is nice to have vegan versions of dishes but it is even better to inform the customer if you need to remove or change a component of the dish to make it vegan. (I might have chosen something else if I had known that the salted caramel sauce will be missing. If it was there then I just could not taste it.)
Overall, I liked the place and the food, the staff was friendly as well, I would come back again if I had the time.

Surprised by all the vegan options - Edit
Maybe around half of the menu can be made vegan by switching to vegan feta, ch*cken, ice cream etc and not just by removing non-vegan ingredients.
Read moreThe waffles were great, tried both a savoury (spicy) one with vegan chicken as well as a sweet with ice cream, blueberries and biscoff cookie crumbles.

Rude staff - Edit
Been here twice and the staff is not service minded and quite rude!
Read moreI also ordered the vegan option in the “savory waffle” menu. And I got… just a salad. I probably misunderstood their menu but I was so disappointed and the salad was not worth the price!!

American dinner vibes and waffles - Edit
This is one of my favorite places in Stockholm as the place is decorated as a retro American dinner. They have saviour waffles, sweet waffles, vegan waffles, shakes and sweets. If you are close by, I really recommend this place!

Cute neighbourhood waffle joint - Edit
Lovely 50s inspired neighbourhood cafe and waffle haven. If there's a queue to get in, it's totally worth queuing. Friendly staff, and lots of choice incl. vegan options. Certainly worth visiting again.

Cozy and nice - Edit
The atmosphere is cozy and nice as long as you don’t come at peak hour. It’s like a genuine 50’s cafe... with over the top versions of Swedish waffles. A bit pricey for the big family but worthwhile for special occasions.
Read morePros: Large portions as it’s a lot of topping on waffle, Great atmosphere, 2-3 vegan options + vegan shakes
Cons: Pricey , Can be crowded on weekends /school holidays

The Waffle Place - Edit
Offers vegan options for both sweet and savoury waffles, milkshakes and vegan pastries. Servings are huge and lip-smalcking. Food coma guaranteed!
Read moreThe staff is super friendly and happy to help, just ask them, most of the items can be 'veganized'.
The place gives you 50s and a retro-diner vibes, and has panoramic windows to sit by and enjoy the view.
Perfect for a fika, Saturday morning brunch or a get-together with friends over dessert.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff
Cons: A bit expensive for non-locals

Loved my vegan waffle! - Edit
I ordered a vegan sweet waffle with coconut whipped cream and blueberry jam. It was delicious! The waffles are thin and mostly crispy (exactly how they should be). There were a bunch of vegan options on the menu and they even have vegan milkshakes!

Super decor - Edit
Didn’t get any whipped cream on my waffle so it was a bit dry but the shake was delish. There were more vegan options than just the one waffle, they can make many of them vegan, so ask for it. Decor was funny.

Good food but rotten fruit - Edit
They have a few vegan options, we took one savory waffle with avocado and veggies and one sweet waffle with whipped coconut cream and fruit, and one freakshake (extreme mylkshake). It was EXTREMELY expensive (ONE waffle for 129 SEK???) and on top of that I got several pieces of fruit that actually was ROTTEN. Like white fur was growing on them. I did get a refund though, but I'm not going back unless someone else is paying hehe.

Cons: Expensive as hell, Rotten fruit, Too stressed staff

Best vegan waffles in the city - Edit
Älskade Traditioner is well known for being one of the most genuine, cozy lunch places in Stockholm, with multiple awards to show. Staff is friendly and helpful, and although their vegan options are (outside of the waffles) not that many yet, they are well worth a visit.
Read morePros: Great waffles, Good atmosphere, Friendly staff
Cons: Easily gets crowded during lunch hours and weekend, Not many vegan options outside of waffles, Vegan waffles cost more than the non-vegan ones
