Decent but salty - Edit
It was the only place to eat when staying overnight on a tour. They have a vegan vegetable soup of the day (it was butternut squash when I stayed), a cheeseless pasta that’s fairly salty, and a dessert I didn’t try. For one night it was absolutely fine but I would be a little bummed if I were staying here for much more than that. It’s a remote location so other options are difficult to find, and impossible if you are without a car like I was.

Great restaurant - Edit
We had a vegetable soup and a pasta without parmesan. They have oat milk for coffees and hot chocolate.

No Vegan Entree Options - Edit
This is the hotel used by Arctic Adventures for their 2 day southern tour from Reykjavík (I believe they actually own the hotel). Unfortunately, the only vegan items in the restaurant are soup, salad minus cheese, and vegan ice cream. Very disappointing, as there are no other restaurant options in reasonable proximity.

Not many options - Edit
I went to Adventure Hotel Hof as part of a two-day Arctic Adventures tour to the south coast of Iceland. I found out the accommodation details in advance to contact them to enquire about food. They advised there were two choices on the menu - a soup starter, and baked apple dessert. I had hoped they would say they could prepare a main course, but this wasn't offered. The rest of my group had generous main courses, but actually the vegetable soup was delicious and quite filling. I had brought other things to eat (a salad from Junkyard in Reykjavík) so didn't try the baked apple.
Read moreBreakfast was a buffet. There was soy milk, which was good to see. I made a small picnic of things that looked safe to eat!
The hotel itself was lovely and the soup was excellent. A vegan main course would have added a star!

Filling vegan option - Edit
The nut steak comes in a huge portion and is very filling. I went twice to this place and both nights their soup of the day was vegan, with the waiter specifically mentioning that it's vegan upon announcing the option. We had a vegetable puree soup which was delicious and also very filling.
Read morePros: Portion size was large, Vegan option was filling, not just salad
Cons: Could use more options
