Delicious

Great food & fast service. Our Forager’s pie and Vegetables Verde were delicious. We were not fans of the Mac& cheese. The sauce is more of a sweet blended butternut squash, not our thing

Pros: Vegetables Verde , Staff was great, Flavors

Cons: Mac & cheese

Soooo good!

The hash and the biscuits & gravy were both terrrrrific! Hash was really savory and complex, and the biscuits & gravy were deliciously decadent.

Delicious all-vegan brunch

I’ll be dreaming of this meal until I can come back for more. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve had - rich and delicious. Blueberry muffin and chai latte were excellent. Cute patio and love the ethos behind it. Would absolutely recommend!

Pros: All vegan, Great back patio, Supports community initiatives

amazing vegan brunch and kudos for the social justice work they do

Acorn Community Cafe is an all vegan restaurant that does an amazing brunch 10am to 3pm Wed to Sun and dinner dinner Fri to Sun from 5pm to 8pm.

They are located in the Whit. They do a lot of social justice work providing free meals to the homeless. Kudos for using local produce and dry goods from local farms along with Hummingbird Wholesale.

There is a unique policy here where you can't tip yet you can pay it forward to make a dana aka donation to pay for someone else's meal in various dollar amounts.

Dana aka donations and seva aka selfless service.

The food here is well made and all vegan made with quality ingredients. The chefs here know their stuff.

As eating at an all vegan restaurant. Too much choice.

I opted to go with the Summer Hash and added foraged mushrooms to it. I loved it. It was very tasty and healthy.

Recommended checking out!

Pros: amazing vegan brunch , kudos for the social justice work they do, uses local produce and products

Healing the community

I'd love to see a cafe like this in every city. Acorn Community Cafe is a tip-free cafe that factors a living wage into the cost of their menu items. They have a free food pantry open 10AM-5PM, Wed-Sun, for anyone who needs food. The bathroom is also there for anyone to use, and it's stocked with pads, deodorants, condoms, and multiple types of diapers. Buying one of their coffee cups gives 5 free coffees to neighbors in need. Their nonprofit partnership with 86 Hunger has created a truly wonderful movement.

They have a lot of gluten-free options, and the menu has quite a bit of variety. They now have a dinner menu too! The coffee is tasty. The biscuits and gravy are nice and satisfying. Winter Hash is amazing if you're a mustard lover. Grapefruit brûlée is perfect for when you want something sweet but light. #Veganuary

This is veganism done right. It's amazing to read this exists in USA. Everyone should follow this model. This is the future. And that grapefruit brulee? Oh my word! Beautofu. 🌈🙏❤️

I completely agree! This is exactly what should be going on at vegan places.. It just makes sense. There's more that I didn't fit in my review, like free vegan chili served 5 days a week for lunch in addition to the free pantry, and you can also choose to pay forward the items you ordered to other customers. The building they're in is being sold out from under them, so I seriously hope they're able to find a new location 💔

This place is so special and beautiful I might cry!

This cafe, aside from having delicious and beautifully plated plant based fare and baked goods, provides a community service of a reoocuring free market, free pantry, free rotating blue plate special, and hygeine resources for the community in need via the non-profit they house in the cafe, 86Hunger.

Additionally, there is wifi available, indoor seating and a heated outdoor patio dining area, lots of light, a well kept fish tank, a big collection of houseplants, fresh cut flowers set on the tables, and multiple community boards with information on events and other resources available in Eugene. Amazing. 10/10.

Pros: Fantastic brunch, Amazing milkshakes, Serves the community and fights food insecurity!

Cons: Primarily brunch items and dessert only

Favorite Restaurant in Eugene!!

The mission of this restaurant gives me faith in the future and our community. Everyone here is exceptionally kind and welcoming. The cafe itself is quite cute and the seating area is beautiful. We have tried everything on the menu (entirely vegan) and loved each item. Our go to place for any meal and we love that we can bring our dog😄

Good food, great community

Acorn Community Cafe was fantastic. We went for a late lunch while in town, and it’s everything a vegan restaurant should be and more. They have an entirely vegan menu with a selection of coffees and desserts. I had a coffee, fresh chocolate chip cookie, and biscuits and mushroom gravy. While the entree was a bit too mushroomy for me, that’s more so a result of personal taste than quality of food. There were other great looking options like pancakes and a breakfast hash which I would be excited to try if I’m ever in town again! I also loved the aesthetic of the place and the great outdoor seating surrounded by plants and nice lighting. Super cozy!

Not to mention, they have cool community initiatives like free menstrual products and diaper products. This place is fantastic in so many ways and worthy of the praise it receives!

Not to be missed!

This whole place is neat. They have a great set up to help people in need with a pantry of food and hygeine products in the bathroom. Seasonal Vegetable Bowl which was so good and had leeks, fancy mushrooms, pickled onion, carrot, Brussels and more. The Breakfast Hash had plenty of sauerkraut and mustard. The blueberry muffin was fresh and delicious. The outdoor seating is shaded but they have heaters.

Pros: Healthy , Affordable with nice portions, Good cause

Such good vibes

This place not only has really healthy and tasty home cooked food but the people that work there are amazing. I could tell that there was so much love in the food and so much passion for the work they are doing in the community. It's so cool to walk in the bathroom and have free menstrual products and diapers for people to take. Revolutionary! Absolutely recommend.

Pros: Delicious and simple food, Super friendly people, Lovely outdoor dining space

Cons: The latte was nothing to write home about.

Incredible. The chef is an artist. Food is perfection.

We were awe struck by how good the food was. The potato leek soup was honestly the best soup I’ve ever had. I’m not usually a fan of pancakes but loved the buckwheat pancakes here. We also got a squash pasta gratin that was unusual and excellent, which came with a surprisingly delicate, simple and delicious side salad.
Honestly, the chef here is an artist (yes, meals cooked by a CHEF!). Each dish was like fine dining quality but averaging $10 an entree. Acorn Community Cafe is a destination. I’m coming back here every time I’m in town.

Pros: Exquisitely crafted dishes, The potato leek soup is PERFECT, Friendly, non-profit

Amazing all vegan restaurant

Such a lovely place with lovely people who work there. The menu is all vegan, I never have to worry about asking if anything is dairy free; I can have everything on the menu, such a breath of fresh air for me. All of the food that I've had here is amazing. They have a free food pantry, a blue plate special (pay what you can), free sanitary items, and free prophylactics if you're in need. I love coming to eat at this place, they have a nice outdoor dining area too.

Pros: All vegan menu, All the food is amazing, Delicious drinks and bakery items
