Coffee and hiking

Nice stop by when doing the close by hike. The vegan lemon cake is the only option. Nothing fancy but it is good.
Bonus points for the nice view.

Good lemon cake, serves plant milk

Nice restaurant located near Pico Ruivo and the start of PR1.2. Serves a “Lemon vegan cake”, a kind of sponge cake, which is a nice treat after the shortish hike. They also serve coffee (cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white) with soy milk without charging extra. Otherwise nothing vegan on the menu.

Nice location

Beside of the vegan cake they can also veganize some items (like the Tomato & Pesto Sandwich).

Fijne beloning na mijn klim

Na een wandeling op de top van Madeira verwacht je geen cappuccino met Soja melk in combinatie met vegan citroen cake. Allebei van groot formaat. Ik vond het heerlijk. De rest van de kaart alleen helaas geen vegan opties.

Pros: Ambiance, Grote portie, Vriendelijk personeel

Cons: Geen lunch opties

Very nice café

I loved coming back from the hike to Cappuccino with soy milk and vegan lemon cake! Very nice interior, too.

Pros: Nice location, Good cake, Good coffee

Cons: No vegan sandwich on menu, Pay for toilet or ask staff, No soy milk on menu

Knowledgeable staff and good food

Asked for a vegan sandwich and they can do a bolo de caco toastie with tomato and pesto - the pesto is homemade and the staff knew straight away it is vegan.
Offers soy milk for coffee and good lemon cake

Pros: View amazing , Knowledgeable staff, Reasonable price

Cons: No vegan sandwich denoted on the menu

Lovely sweet little café

Lovely sweet little café with vegan cake and drinks like coffee or tea. Good choice after a long hike :)!

Good place to relax after a hike

I was quite surprised to find a vegan cake in the cafe at the end of PR1.2 trail. The slice was huge compared to what you get elsewhere.

Pros: Lovely vegan cake, Nice view

Cons: Could offer more vegan options, Toilet is 50ct :)
