Beautiful location with vegan options - Edit
Acai cafe is a small cafe in Playas de Tijuana. It's right off the boardwalk in between other eateries. It is one of the few options along the boardwalk with a mostly vegetarian/vegan menu. The main attraction is, you guessed it, the acai bowl. There are also smoothies, salads,coffees, teas, and juices. Visitors may be surprised to see patrons sitting on the patio smoking a hookah. It's a laid back place with friendly people enjoying the beach. I had an acai bowl and made sure to mention it be made without dairy. Some places put whipped topping on at the end. I have found it important to say, "no dairy, no cheese, no cream" in Mexico and to reassure the server this is how I want my meal.
