Great food tons of veg options - Edit
Recommend getting a veggie sampler. There are a couple options, we each picked one and had it served together family style. The way to go. The only spicy element were the red lentils. We stopped by while traveling through and were very happy. Would stop again. Price was also very reasonable.

Good service, good food - Edit
We went in on a Wednesday evening. The service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere welcoming. We ordered their vegan platter for two, the food was flavorful. It was not as spicy as I'm used to, but my wife was glad for that, given her tolerance is lower. It was a little cold, but not by much. Overall a good restaurant!

Best Ethiopian Restaurant in the City - Edit
Abyssinia has a wonderful selection of vegetarian and vegan options. The service is wonderful and flavor is unmatched. Try this restaurant and you won't be disappointed. I've had the lentils, split peas, cabbage and collard greens, and have yet to be disappointed. The portions are quite generous for the price.

Great Vegan options - Edit
The front of the menu was basically vegan that you could make Omni. The back was completely Omni. Great little spot to dine and have a drink. Definitely affordable and satisfying.

Get the red lentils! - Edit
Had a great late dinner last night. I had veggie combo #1 everything was good but the red lentils were the star of the show! Omni hubby had the lamb and said it was fantastic. Great food, quiet atmosphere and excellent service. Menu has clearly labeled vegan section! Next time I'm in Louisville I'll be stopping back!

I eat here for lunch at least 3 times a week from the buffet. The owners are very friendly and the cook is open to questions. The food is always great and fresh.

Delicious - Edit
The food and service was great! The owner came to our table with a smile and was very knowledgable about a vegan diet and offered great suggestions. We had delicious lentil wraps for starters and the veggie platter was equally as good. I highly recommend!

Solid Simple Food - Edit
Injera is, as far as i know, the staple food of Ethiopia. It is made from a superfood grain that has incredible nutritional value (look it up!). It is large, flat, spongy , soft, and sits well in the stomach. I dont know about you but i could serious live on this stuff! The vegetarian platter is served on a big plate with a big piece of injera on top of it. on top of that are placed assorted lentil curry dishes, curried potatoes and carrots, and salad. They provide some more injera on the side. For $10 it is quite a bit of food, and its healthy and surprisingly fast. It isnt the fanciest place around but it is certainly fulfilling. I didnt have the coffee ceremony here, but ive had it at other Ethiopian restraunts and it was amazing!! Definitely worth a try if you have never had Ethiopian food, or if you are just hungry for something healthy and cheap.

Excellent Food - Edit
This is a very Veg friendly restaurant. The staff makes all their veggies and lentil dishes vegan and the Injera is great. The restaurant was clean and spacious and can handle a large group. They offer a buffet at lunch that would be great for Vegans as well.
