My favourite Wirral restaurant

Delicious, filling meals, perfectly portioned and with a lot of choice for vegans.

The menu encourages you to try a few dishes as there’s a great customisable sharing option for two or more people. The food is prepared fresh, and you can really tell. Friendly staff and a homely vibe.

Heswall isn’t the easiest place to get to via public transport unfortunately but it’s worth the effort!

This would be a five-star review if it weren’t for Happy Cow’s new ratings policy.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Great coffee

Fantastic vegan options

(If Happy Cow let me rate vegfriendly places as 5 stars this would be one of them!)

One of my favourite places to eat on the Wirral. The owner is passionate about the food she serves, and is always keen for us to try new vegan dishes on the menu. The food is freshly made and well worth the wait. Make sure to have a traditional Ethiopian coffee to finish :)

Pros: Good variety of flavours, Relaxed environment , Friendly service

Great service and food

It’s a shame I can’t rate this as a full 5 stars as we phoned them just before they closed and they still provided a great collection service with a advice for first time customers.

Parking for collection for takeaway is available opposite in Sainsbury’s

Pros: A good selection of options. , Great customer service.

Cons: Early closing (so go early), Misr Wot wasn’t available :-(

amazing

Beautiful food - everything cooked so well, really tasty, perfect amount and lovely presentation. Really friendly staff and great service. BYOB. Couldn't recommend this place enough, so glad it has opened up and important to support local small businesses.

Absolutely Delicious!!!

(Would totally be 5 stars, but Happy Cow doesn’t allow it for carnivorous places, fair).

Abyssinia Kitchen is just wonderful... gorgeous decor, lovely ambience, and absolutely beautiful food. As a long time vegan it is so great to see somewhere like this locally.

The dishes are healthy, and light yet filling. So flavoursome, and gorgeous looking too. I have dined here several times and will continue to visit!

Lots of veggie options (that are all suitable for vegans too).

It’s a Bring Your Own bevs place, which is perfect if you like a beer/vino with dinner.

Service isn’t super fast, but the food is all cooked fresh to order and you can totally tell. I enjoy the chilled, none-rushed atmosphere and enjoy the chat time in between courses.

Totally recommend this for vegans and veggies. And great if you’re eating out with carnivorous friends.

Hilina who owns the restaurant is charming and blatantly passionate about her food. This all shines through in the whole experience.

Go here.

Pros: GORGEOUS FOOD, REASONABLE PRICES, LOVELY ATMOSPHERE
