They left out the cheese and the pasta Nonna were then perfectly vegan. They also have several other vegan dishes (starters) on the menu.

Very few vegan options - Edit
This should not be listed as vegan friendly when there are only 2 or 3 actual vegan options.

And do visit the lava cave! - Edit
Lovely local eatery. Though they have signs to say they love vegan, there isn’t much on the lunch menu that is vegan. However they were happy to veganise some of the vegetarian items. It was adequate vegan lunch - not exciting! But adequate - but the lava cave below made it a very worthwhile stop!

Fine - Edit
There weren't a lot of vegan options. The dishes were labelled as vegan, which was informative. The taste of the rosemary potatoes was fine. I wasn't a fan of the grilled vegetables. The food was fine but it wouldn't hurt to skip this restaurant. The waiters were very friendly.

Beware of the cave! - Edit
First of all, note, that this place has a little secret. Underneath the restaurant there’s a lava cave that you can visit for just 1 Euro if you ask the staff about it.
Read moreSecond, sadly they suspended the weekly vegan lunch.
But they still offer clearly labeled vegan options plus some vegetarian options can be veganised. Just ask the staff and they’ll help you to get a good and typical meal.

Tasty! - Edit
The only vegan options are starters of which we tried the bruschetta, the hummus and the sautéed field vegetables. These were all tasty and the price seemed fair.
Read moreThere’s also pizza and pasta that can be ordered without cheese, but no inherently vegan option here.
The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the staff was very friendly.

Vegan starters on the menu - Edit
The printed menu is only Italian, we used the QR coded one where there are many language options.
Read moreAbly starters were marked as vegan, we had hummus- very basic, baked potato with fresh herbs- was good as we were really hungry and bruschetta which was really delicious.
Plus two bottled mixed juices with vegan logo on it.🙂
It was enough for two of us.

Loud music, no menu in the cave - Edit
I have to honestly say: I haven't eaten there.
Read moreWe have never gotten this far.
The first evening that we planned on eating there they played very loud italian rap music which was not really what I want when I'm out dining.
The second time we decided to try the cave hoping that the music wouldn't be that loud in there. The ambient was great, but: we were handed a online menu (QR-Code) but there's no wifi and no reception down there. I walked outside to open the menu and back down it couldn't reload. They didn't offer any help with this so we decided to leave again.
Get an English menu or at least a wifi network in your cave.

After seeing a good list of options before arriving we were informed that they no longer use that menu. All that was available was pizza without cheese and a few different starters.

Worth visiting, especially on a Sunday! - Edit
First time I went here I just had the hummus, which I found to be slightly grainy and served with too-crispy bread sticks. HOWEVER, on a Sunday return visit I had the €15 vegan lunch which was made up of 6 delicious components, including a chilled pumpkin soup; vegetable “nest” with noodles, soy patties and black rice with exotic vegetables. All these elements were inventive and unusual and very nice. Also highly recommended is the vegan caprese (basically a rich chocolate torte , balanced well with almond granita) and the bulgur wheat salad.
Read morePros: Sunday lunch - good value and good flavours , Had vegan dessert options, well labelled in menu
Cons: Hummus was a bit weird
