Read moreFrom the welcome sip of Ferreira port (one of Portugal’s few Portuguese-owned port houses) to the final bite of their award-winning nata, the entire experience was unforgettable. The four starters—vegan codfish cake, fish açorda, Algarve-style carrots, and mushrooms in coriander and lemon—were beautifully balanced and full of flavor. Fresh bread accompanied these vibrant small plates perfectly.
The main dishes truly impressed: a comforting, balanced seafood rice and a rich, plant-based take on the iconic Francesinha that was nothing short of perfection. For dessert, the layered biscuit cake had lovely hints of coffee, and the airy, whipped “Heavenly Cream” was exactly that—divine. We were also lucky enough to try their vegan nata, and it absolutely lived up to the praise: silky, smooth, and utterly delicious.
Beyond the food, the service was warm and genuinely enthusiastic. The staff took time to explain each dish and share their deep love for Portuguese cuisine, which made the experience feel even more personal and special.
Every course reflected not just technical skill, but deep care and love for both the craft and the culture. I only wish I lived in Porto so I could return again and again. A must-visit for anyone who values food made with heart.

The place is super relaxing and beautifully decorated, the staff was very attentive and chatty, which I personally loved, me and my date ate some corn cake which was absolutely delicious, not too dry or too moist! We also had their speciality of vegan chocolates and they were an experience!! I recommend!!

We decided to check out the place since I am vegan and was visiting Porto. I wanted to get some pastries like croissants, but ended up eating a vegan Portuguese stew which was delicious! They had a few different options of vegan traditional Portuguese dishes which I really like as someone who often can't eat traditional dishes when I travel. We also bought some croissants and they were delicious. They also had traditional Portuguese pastry Nata which I unfortunately did not try as well as some other yummy looking pastries. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Porto and are vegan or just want to try out a place with a nice atmosphere and nice staff. We talked to the owner/one of the owners(?) a bit afterwards and she informed us about some of the dishes. Everyone was very nice and I can't recommend this place more!

A Padoca restaurant is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been to, combining flavors, creativity, and sustainability. Very friendly service but the food itself was very pricey (all breakfast dishes 15€) and the food was rather disappointing. The French toast was very sour because of the sour berries, the eggs didn't taste at all like eggs.

We went for an afternoon snack, so didn’t eat from the main menu. I ordered the “Calzone” (7.50€)which was a pepper and salami empanada and my wife had a kind of custard roll (4€). They were both excellent. We then waited for a fresh batch of vegan Pastel de Nata (2€ each) to be cooked and took two away with us. I only wish I’d ordered more of them!

Amazing sweet breakfast - Edit
The croissant with nata filling looked so good that both of us ordered it. It came warm and was very tasty, with a lovely strong cinnamon flavour. The homemade tea with ginger, cinnamon, mint, matcha and lemon sounded like it would be too many different flavours but it smelled and tasted really good. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained all the options.
