Enjoy - Edit

Ate here several times, choosing different toppings to my rice. Appreciated the advice of the owner on 'spicy' and 'not spicy'. There is free filtered water for guests and you can bring your own container for take-away.

Pros: Free water, Take-away, Variety

Cons: Location not very close to MRT/BTS, Closed in the evening

Delicious but get there early - Edit

I arrived a bit before 2PM and there was not much left. But I tried was delicious (fake meat with veggies and rice) for 40 Baths. As it was close to closing the food was cold apart from the rice. But I recommend if you're in the neighborhood or if you're going to Myanmar's Embassy.

Pros: Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Cold food apart from rice

Delicious Thai Vegan Fare - Edit

After repeatedly waxing lyrical about Thai food to my travelling companion, A-Ma saved my dwindling reputation. Very yummy. The servings with rice can be a little sparse, but if you've a healthy appetite, dishes can be ordered separately with rice on the side.

Pros: very tasty traditional dishes, reasonably priced, great location

Cons: somewhat small combo meals, closes by 5:00 pm

Great, Cheap, Street Thai Food - Edit

If you're on a budget, in a hurry, vegetarian and like Thai food then go here! As another reviewer said, as you go down the street from the temple it's five shops along on the right (photo added).

It's a very cheap and cheerful place serving (I assume) local workers. I didn't see another foreigner there. I had a plate of rice and a selection of the rest of the buffet. It was nicely spiced, tasty and cost a ridiculously cheap 60 Bhat.

The staff are friendly; they don't have much English, but they try their best.

It's on a street with a number of other veggie options, but this is the cheapest and most of the others are Indian.

Highly recommended.

Pros: Tasty food, Very cheap, Friendly staff

My Favorite Vegan Place In Bangkok - Edit

This is where I always go first when I visit Bangkok. A small shophouse restaurant that feeds a mainly lunchtime office crowd. Food is always fresh and hot. Great choice of about 10-12 hot dishes, and lots of fake meats as well.

Pros: delicious food, friendly owners, central location

Comfy vegan food - Edit

Many options of food, great low price, very well prepared fried tofu that does look like fried fish.

Oh, if they tell you certain dish is spicy, that's cause it'll be spicy.

Pros: inexpensive, many options

Great family run eatery in Bangkok - Edit

Every trip to Bangkok means we stop in at A-Ma. I love that it is vegan and never use MSG. They have a nice selection that is always fresh. The mom and pop team are super nice and make you feel at home. I love the green curry here and noodle soup when available. The mock meat weiners and sausages are also quite nice.

Pros: Centrally located, No msg, Super affordable

Ok food, friendly service - Edit

The food was ok. You can choose a bunch things to be put in a plate with rice. The kind of stuff your mother might cook, if she were Thai. Nothing amazing. The flavors were sometimes too plain, other times too strong, for my taste at least. There were also mock meats, some on sticks, that you could buy to eat plain. Owner is super friendly, his English is limited but he tries hard. It's a small hole in the wall type of place, no door and no air conditioning. The prices aren't written anywhere but it's pretty cheap so I didn't worry about it.

Incredible food! - Edit

A little place in the heart of Bangkok that serves the most delicious food and it's all freshly made on the spot. It's beautiful to see this place buzzing with people. It makes me wonder how many more vegans there would be if there were more quality places like this that serve inexpensive food served with kindness. It is run by a sweet couple who personally work their everyday cooking, serving and feeding customers who seem to always be smiling also, as they leave. If me and my girlfriend are in the city, we go there for lunch AND dinner! Yes, it's that good.

Pros: taste, service, vegan

Amazing food - Edit

Found this place on our last day in BKK. After a longer walk up and down the street in search for food, this place relieved us from being hangry as most other places where closed on a Sunday (or they are overpriced, like the American vegan place). If you are in the area you should definitely go! The food was amazing, about 50b a plate of wild rice with two spicycurry/salad things. Everything was all ready cold but super yummy. We ended up getting take away for diner as well! The street food stand has two green umbrellas and yellow flags, opposite of the Tibet macaroon place at the Hindu temple.

Pros: taste, price, value-for-money, all vegan, no msg

Cons: cold serving

Great food, cheap, no msg - Edit

Superb typical Thai eatery. Great dishes, from 35 baht up, depending on how many dishes you want with your rice or if you want extras. Owner speaks some English too. No msg is added. Although it says vegetarian on the sign, it's all vegan.

Pros: Cheap, Authentic, No msg

Delicious Vegan Food In Silom - Edit

I've been eating here for over 4 years and the food quality is always good. The food here is always hot, which is a complete contrast to many Thai veggie places. There is a good choice of hot dishes including red and green curry, soups and stir-fries. The also have some fake meats that I haven't seen anywhere else.

There is seating for around 18 people, but it still gets packed during lunchtimes, as it attracts a mainly office crowd. Owners are friendly, but mostly Thai is spoken. But it's easy enough to point at the dishes you want. You can either have a bowl of rice with the hot dishes on top, or you can order the hot dishes in separate bowls. You'll get more food ordering separately but it will also cost more.

They also make noodle dishes to order and have various juices in the fridge near the back. Get your own ice and water (free) from the back.

Turn into Pan Road from Silom Road where the Hindu Temple is and you'll see A-ma about 5 shops in on the right.

Pros: Best vegan shop in Silom, Delicious food, Friendly owners

Cons: Closed on weekends
