Great Idea for a Cafe - Edit
A Better World Cafe is part of a program that teaches people to cook and allows the community to volunteer in exchange for a plate of food. You can also just pay for lunch up front, but you get to choose the price. They usually use local and organic produce.
Read moreBecause it's volunteer based there will be different people working there every day, so your portion size and preparation tends to vary.
I would recommend the Better World Salad, which is a nice salad featuring kale, carrots, cabbage, tofu and shredded almonds.
Pros: Local and Organic, Affordable, Good Food
Cons: Inconsistent Service

A Better World... With Better Food - Edit
A Better World Cafe' is a great place to have brunch/lunch. They are always trying their best to be sustainable, local and organic. The setting is comfortable and quaint. Their staff is super friendly, with awesome chefs and helpful volunteers. The food is very affordable (pay what you can, or more if you wish! And it's great that they always have Vegan items on the menu. I would recommend it to anyone!

Better World, for a better world! - Edit
A Better World Cafe is the most progressive establisment to eat in the state. The vegan options are labeled on their dry erase board with a "V" but included within the regular menu as not to disclude it from the general population ordering. Their quinoa burger is my favorite and their vegan desserts have included amazing muffins, scones, and cookies. You can choose your portion size as to not waste any food or eat more than you want. Everything you throw out including napkins and food is composted. In a time when eating vegan food out can be very expensive, A Better World comes to the rescue for those who can't afford those expensive places. It's a shame that there can't be more than four stars given, this is a genuine place.
