Beyond burger & breakfast sandwich! - Edit
So happy they have the beyond burger & breakfast sandwich all day! This is my go to when I have a burger craving and want something price friendly.
Read moreMake sure to order without Mayo when getting the burger and ask for the veggie version of the breakfast sandwich. I wish the breakfast sandwich was easier to order as sometimes the staff don't know what I'm talking about depending on the area
Really wish they had the chickn nugs in Alberta as well
Pros: Good price, breakfast all day
Cons: No chickn nugs in yyc, have to order without Mayo

A Fastfood Option - Edit
A&W used to be my favourite fastfood burger before going vegan. I was thrilled when they brought in the Beyond burger. In reality however, the burger is there most boring, and not vegan, burger. Is it tasty and good when you're too lazy to make your own Beyond burger at home, yes. But I'm baffled that the burger comes with mayo and they ask if you want cheese! I would have thought such a monumental step for this company would have been a composed burger, not just ketchup, mustard, lettuce, pickles and onions. They have had guacamole in the past, what a great opportunity to bring out great vegan toppings! Ah well, I get this in a lattuce wrap to make it gluten free, and with no mayo. I believe the white bun is vegan, but the whole wheat one is not, and they won't tell you this unless you ask.

Fries are also vegan.
Pros: Beyond burger
Cons: Pricey , No vegan gluten free bun, Ketchup, mustard and sriracha are the only sauces

Beyond Meat burgers rock - Edit
A US colleague told me about Beyond Meat but I could not find any stores carrying it. Was very excited when I saw an article about A&W bringing it to all of their Canadian locations starting July 9. Made a point to find the closest location to my office for lunch today. This is the best plant based burger I have ever tasted. I have tried a lot of them and this has a great taste and texture. Admittedly, it’s been over a year since I last tasted a beef burger, but this is how I remember them tasting. I am sure this is an experiment for A&W in the relatively small Canadian market. This could really help our carnivore brethren to make the transition with less pain. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it and would love A&W to see this gamble pay off. Why only 3 stars. While I love this burger, would like to see a broader menu that vegans could chose from. It’s a great start A&W!!
