Brunch menu take over

Couldnt have what i planned since they only had the brunch menu but what i did get was still pretty nice. Three quid for the kid sized milkshake was a bit of a rip off. Decoration and music is nice!!

Good Service, Poor Food

Nice venue and the service was good, but there was no effort or flair with the food. It was like caff food vegan style. Much better options than this in London.

The all day menu starts at 4pm

The all day menu isn't all day. I came here on a Saturday and booked via the website as I was visiting London for the weekend and was hoping for a vegan cheese toastie. I had seen the 'all day menu' on the website and knew what I wanted. When I sat down we were told the all day menu wasn't available until 4pm... There were no toasties on the menu. I was told to just customise one of the mini melts on the brunch menu. I ordered 2 vegan melts and I received two cheese toasties (they are quite big unlike the menu suggests as mini) with a fried egg on top. After getting the correct order it was a bit disappointing. The bread was great but I personally didn't enjoy the vegan cheese which wasn't melted either. We also ordered the vegan pancakes - these were great, I would recommend them for a vegan.

Good vegan pancakes

I was heading to Queen Mary's so popped in for coffee and a sweet treat a few weeks ago now. Opted for the vegan pancakes from the brunch menu which were good. As well as fresh berries and a drizzle of syrup they also came with a scope of ice cream. Very tasty. Would go back if I was in the area.

Pros: Quite a few vegan options on menu, Service was friendly and efficient

GOOD PRICES FOR LONDON

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and some Mc and cheese, the sandwich was very good, for a grilled cheese sandwich and they have a lot of options if you fancy a grilled cheese sandwich, I would come back here for this 100% the Mc and cheese however was not good at all, it wasn't bad but is definitely something that I would recommend people not to get, the cheese was watery and grainy at the same time, very weird... I think they should use a potato cheese that is more sticky and gooey, this cheese was not good... And I believe that they should sell a good Mc and cheese in an American restaurant!... The place is nice and cozy and the staff seems nice too, I recommend it and I would come back but as a fellow chef will recommend they work on their vegan cheese for their Mc and cheese.
Also for London I think the prices are very good, it's not too expensive and you can get several things in deal package so I thought that was great

Pros: Lots of options! Very good prices

Cons: No music!

A fun lunch selection

When this place first opened they focused on their toasties so there wasn't much selection - but recently they've added two v-burgers and plenty of other stuff to the menu. The v-burgers are both decent. Toastie-wise go for the mushroom or the artichoke for the more interesting flavours. Definitely try the cauliflower wings.

It's not a very cheap place but they do have a lunchtime deal. I also think the food is too salty (the mac'n'cheese was so salty, why?), but that aside this place is now a fun little place for an occasional lunch selection.

Pros: Buffalo cauliflower wings - great dish

Cons: Rather pricey for what it is, Too salty

Avoid

Happened to be in the area with my recently turned veggie brother so decided to try this place out, especially after seeing some delicious looking snaps on Instagram. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. Food was average at best, just tasted like they whacked spice on everything to cover the fact it was flavourless and rubbish. Between four of us we tried lots of different stuff, so know it wasn’t an isolated incident either. Especially the toastie which is meant to be their trademark! To top it off, service suckeddd. Terrible value for money, all left feeling pretty gutted and unsatisfied. Just save yourself the disappointment and take one stop on the train to Shoreditch and hit up Mooshies instead.

Pros: Didn’t need to book on a Friday night as was quiet

Cons: Bad service, Bad food, Bad value for money

mixed experience - 3.5 stars from me

I've been to the eatery twice and had uber eats delivery from here once. My first time I found all the food to be pretty average, it probably sounds better on the menu than it is and as it's mainly toasties, I feel like I can make a better one easily at home myself. When I had the delivery, I found the price to be really high for what I got, small portions which didn't fill me up and average taste again. There was a mistake with my order and I was sent a feta cheese salad even though I ordered a vegan salad and made clear on my order I wanted everything vegan. When I called up, the manager told me to come down to the restaurant and I would have a credit note for £5 to spend. I went back a few days later, and the manager did indeed remember me and gave me £5 off the bill. I had a waldorf toastie and a mac & cheese, and this time I must say the food was really, really tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed both items and would order them again.

Pros: waldorf toastie , mac and cheese

Cons: some menu items very average tasting, not especially good value, not fully vegan!

amazing!!

Went for a dinner with my partner there and we were both so pleasantly surprised! I had purchased a Groupon voucher and the amount of food we got there was filling us both up to the brim.
Best of all though was the service. The waiter (and owner?) was so invested in the business to provide an excellent service to the customers, to attend to everyone, was knowledgeable about the food and made us excellent hot chocolate 😊 the food itself is American as one can expect, with a good range of the classic comfort foods. Everything was delicious, in good quantity and well priced (unlike some other veggie places that are trying to achieve a similar vibe but then charge £8 for a burger..). Definitely a place to go for comfort food, or where to take your meat loving friends! They would be surprised!!!

Pros: great service , good portion sizes , delicious food

Cons: none

Great comfort food

We enjoyed the food and the vibe at this place. The buffalo cauliflower wings were special and the melts were really tasty. Glad they asked whether we were students as the discount was an added bonus!

Good vegetarian spin on American cuisine

It's a little pricey but the food's good and it's especially great to see vegetarian food that isn't presented as so uber-healthy it's not fun. I went here for lunch with a friend and had "chicken wings" (cauliflower) and onion rings, both with sauces, and they were good. I would definitely go again and try something else.

Fantastic food

So good we went back the next day too.
Fantastic menu where each dish can come as veggie, vegan and gluten free variations. So gluten free vegans (me) are well catered for.
Great vegan cheese.

Pros: friendly staff, disabled toilet, excellent food

Cons: Small so gets very busy

Good junk

Let's face it ..it's vegan junk food. But it's good junk food and this place is such a welcome addition to the neighbourhood which in terms of vegan options is limited to falafel or Indian.

Really liked my melt and beetroot salad. Not overly taken with the cauliflower wings but then i'm devoted to wagamama's bang bang cauliflower. Brownie was nice and gooey although they should pop in next door to the Coop and get some vanilla glace to serve with it.

Super friendly staff. Highly recommended if u need to fulfill that junk food cravi g

Pros: Super friendly staff, Melted cheese sandwiches, Nice chilled music

Cons: It is not cheap, Limited number of vegan desserts

Great New Fun Restaurant

The Vibe of the place is really good and the food amazing and really delicious. It's a sustainable (vegetarian) take on classic American comfort food, but in fun tapas style setting - small, inventive, super delicious grilled cheese sandwiches (MELTs), amazing buffalo cauliflower wings, sauces, potato wedges and desserts! My favorites were the Donald Trump (yes!) and the Margarita MELTs!
Cool new addition to East London!
Many vegan options as well
