So so good - Edit

We absolutely love 9 Dragons. We live in Ashford but will drive to Folkestone just for this. The vegan chicken balls are delicious and the duck and king prawn dishes are also really good. The staff are lovely too!

Food ok but lacking common sense - Edit

We had a big order consisting of 23 in total with 2 being vegan options. Spent over £134. When we got home where we were meeting with friends and family, we noticed nothing was labelled. We spent around 10 minutes trying to figure out whose was what. As we weren't sure which 2 were the vegan ones we rang them. Although the lady on the phone did try and help us identify which ones were vegan, which by the way wasn't easy as they looked very similar to the meat options, she didn't see the issue of not labelling the vegan ones to make it clear. In the end we had to tear a piece from each portion to establish which was which. So after around 20 minutes or more after getting the order home and on the table we finally got to sit down and eat. The food itself was ok but nothing special. This is the risk when going to a non fully vegan establishment. Personally I won't be going back.

There was so much variety and options of mock meat or just naturally vegan dishes. I can’t fault their selection, you feel like you have equal choice to your meat-eating counterparts which is rare. #Veganuary

We’ve had vegan chinese takeaways from quite a few places both in Kent and further afield, but having tried here this week we were pleasantly surprised. The sweet and sour balls are a great option on the menu, rarely found on vegan menus. Really nice variety. Only one minor note of feedback - don’t give us a bag of prawn crackers when we are clearly ordering all vegan (I gave them away on olio when we got home).

Really good range - Edit

My go-to Chinese takeaway, it has a really good range of vegan 'chicken' made from soya, which is in its own dedicated 'vegan chicken' part of the menu and the flavours are really good (it's very popular with omnis too). The tofu dishes are also really tasty, although not as varied as the vegan chicken dishes. My favourite is the vegan chicken satay skewers and the vegan chicken in garlic sauce, my partner loves the sweet and sour and the 'chicken' balls with dipping sauce. The salt and pepper chips are good too. Everything is always good reheated the next day too.

They do get very busy, especially at weekends, so I'd recommend booking in advance if you can. They're on Just Eat, Deliveroo etc but sometimes stop online orders when it's busy (but you can phone up or pop in). Highly recommended, although bear in mind they automatically add prawn crackers when you spend a certain amount but you can add a note to not include them.
