CLOSED: 8KA Vegan Restaurant

I really don't know if there are still in business. It looked like a private house with a restaurant area, except the restaurant area was closed with no one around. There is still the restaurant sign outside but no information in English anywhere, so I have no idea.

After reading the previous review and the response by the owner saying they are now fully operational we decided to give this restaurant a chance. The location is a little out of the main part of town but we found it with no real difficulty. We got a table inside and were presented with a menu (in English) offering all sorts of tasty sounding dishes. Unfortunately they weren't actually available! Instead we were offered 2 dishes (a pasta dish and a burger dish) and we agreed to those. The food was fine, a little bland but pleasant enough. Being that Macedonia is well known in the Balkans for the freshness of its produce I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more on offer.

As a vegetarian (with a vegan boyfriend) living in the Balkans I'm all in favour of encouraging this type of restaurant. I know it must be hard to get a new business venture off the ground. However I do think that maybe they'd do better to admit on here that they aren't quite fully in business yet and to keep us informed when they are ready to offer a full menu.

I hope that by next time I visit Skopje they are still in business with a full menu on offer.

Me and my family were staying in Skopje, Macedonia from January 20-25. Since me and my wife eat strictly vegan food we searched and found this restaurant online. We caught a cab and found it pretty easily. First coming into this not so big but beautifully arranged restaurant our eyes and ears caught up with a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant had a colorful table setting, flowery decorations and the speakers played some peaceful traditional Chinese music.

We ordered some burgers, potatoes, toppings, salad and some coffee. The coffee was really good, we were served organic coffee dressed in a creative way. With it came a sweet, coconut covered threat which was very tasty. The burgers and potatoes were great, they were prepared without oil or any other fatty ingredients. This was something I expected from a vegan restaurant. My wife and I had two different toppings and they had a kind of mediterranean flavor to them. We also had some cabbage salad prepared conventionally.

My family found this restaurant to be a nice, peaceful place to come to relax, recharge your batteries and taste some delicious vegan food prepared in a healthy way.
