off the beaten path but well worth the trip - Edit

A pay be weight concept. A buffet offers a full array of tempting vegan delights. Healthy options as well as fake meat options as delicious pasta dishes.

Pros: great food, cute location , friendly staff

Cons: slightly clueless about allergens

Every vegan visiting Budapest should go here!! - Edit

This place was delicious. Buffet style food which is priced at 3 HUF per gram. The dishes were mainly traditional Hungarian food which had been veganised, so if you like fake meats and comfort food you'll like this place. The desserts were also delicious. My advice would be to stick to the Hungarian dishes as I tried the sushi and it wasn't very nice. The girl who served me was lovely and also spoke English very well. she explained to me about the business and their food. I had a large plate of mains and a smaller plate of dessert for around 2700 HUF, which I thought was good value. The interior of the restaurant was clean and airy. They had free water which is always appreciated in Europe.

My non-vegan family loves it too! - Edit

Such good and peaceful vibe, so lovely staff, so delicious food!
I loved it there - and so did my cousin and then my dad (who also took there his colleagues after)!
It's out of the centre but you have to go there at least once.
It's like a cafeteria, you pick what you want. They usually offer traditional Hungarian dishes too. Everything is very delicious! They also have food made from gluten-free ingredients.
Price depends on the weight of you meal.
The only not that positive thing is that it can get easily crowded because it's not so spacious.

Pros: Positive vibe and staff, Amazing food for a good price

Cons: Out of the centre

Expensive and Salty - Edit

We chose from several recommended dishes, along with a bowl of soup. The main dishes were highly salted, although the squash soup was quite good. The bill for one modestly-filled plate and the soup cost over US$20. Not a great value.

Pros: attractive place, friendly staff, clean

Cons: salty food, expensive

A wonderful surprise - Edit

Vegans are good people, and good people have good hearts. The owners of 827kitchen have great hearts. We arrived after the place was closed, and not only were we welcome, but we were given access to all the remaining delicious dishes with an open heart and a smile! Another factor that is worth noticing is the quality of the interior including the bathrooms. On a hot day you will appreciate air conditioning. All in all, this is the best vegan place in Budapest amongst the few we were able to visit.

Absolutely lovely - Edit

Such incredible value and choice, well worth getting a taxi there from the city centre, cost about 15 euros each way but the meal was only about 5 Sauria each for a real feast!

Great buffet - Edit

The buffet was really nice with lots of choice and entirely vegan. The waiters were really kind and helpful with translating and letting me know what some things were. The food was mostly pretty good. The restaurant has a very chill and zen vibe, and I didn't feel rushed to leave as we were there before closing. Definitely recommend.

Pros: Good food, Cheap, Nice staff

Amazing place - Edit

We ate so much in this restaurant we couldn't move afterwards. Everything is so delicious! They make a vegan ham that takes a long time to be ready (according to the owner, who was super nice and explained this to us) that is so close to the real thing that it creeps me out. Everything is delicious and it's very affordable because you pay by the kilogram, and the place is really nicely decorated and quiet. The owner is super nice and cheerful and the staff are super kind too. I really recommend this place, if you're in Budapest you shouldn't miss it.

Huge selection - Edit

Awesome buffet place where you pay by the kg. Prices are good and they have a huge variety of items to choose from. It's a comfortable setting with nice staff.

It's great because the format allows you to try a little bit of everything. The vegan ham, fried cheese, and seitan steak were especially memorable, although to be fair, everything was fantastic. It's great to be able to try vegan versions of Hungarian specialties.

This is a bit away from the city center, but it's definitely worth the trek. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Variety, Comfort, Price

Hungarian comfort food (in the best kind of way!) - Edit

When travelling you'd like to experience the local food culture but being a vegan sometimes limits that opportunity. This place offers (the best) Hungarian vegan food, a lovely hostess who will make sure you have a nice visit and also clean spaces. We were impressed by the price per kilo option and happy to see these types of restaurants grow. If you're choosing between a visit to this restaurant and any other attraction, the first is the way to go.

Pros: Affordable, Tasty (!), Fresh

Cons: None

Vegan Hungarian Food - Edit

The place is mainly for those office workers that work in the vicinity, as for tourists it might be slightly off the city center focused paths.
The place is in a basement but very tidy and clean, suggesting a Buddhist environment with the books they have for sale and the painting on the wall. Tables enough for roughly 15 people.
Food is all vegan and gluten free, however the description and the ingredients are not written in English, not sure if English is spoken at all. Food is measured by weight apart from the soups that have a fixed price. You can chose from a variety of traditional Hungarian meals that are very potato and (faux -) meat (soy) based. There are fried veggies, mushrooms, thick vegetable stews and salads as well. When I had lunch, they offered sushi too. Some dessert options are also available . I liked the spices and flavours of the food. I paid ~ 4 euros for a soup and a 2nd dish.
It is possible to pay by card, however it is important to let the assistant know in advance.
