Nice emotionless robotic food - Edit
Food quality no doubt is good, and portion considered ok. But there is absolutely no human touch at all. You cannot clarify with anybody on the ingredients used. You cannot tell the cook whether you want your food spicy or not. You cannot find anybody to clean up spilled food on the table. You cannot find anybody to top up the self-help chilli. One bowl of noodles here can get you about 2 bowls at hawker centre.

CYBERNETIC REVOLUTION NOW! - Edit
Without vegan robots, humanity is cooked. Literally. Good luck if they try convincing a machine to accept baffling, arbitrary, contradictory commands like, protect the great apes called humans, but rape, torture and murder the others.
Read moreChildren can't understand violence against animals, wise men and ancient prophets always disavowed it, even carnivores of the svelte don't ideate facultative slavery for unnecessary taste pleasure. So, if turbo techies think they can program the robots to protect them while serving up slaughtered billions of innocent beings, the singularity will be a rude awakening.
That's right. Enter: 729 Vegan. The hero of our dystopic future, a lone robot with their hard-working human in a small box in a government housing block in North Singapore whose only job is to teach the robot anthropodicy in hopes that they will recognize that good humans still exist in the world.
Trained to serve delicious, nutritive sustenance to vegans, you best make your way to see robot 729V immediately to have your profile analyzed by this man-machine duo for when the time comes, your life may be spared, while those who choose to dine elsewhere will be subjected to the very same horrors they inflict on those they deem irrelevant and worthless simply because they lack the ability to communicate or the functionality to calculate pi to the six hundred and sixty sixth decimal place.
Train the robot to read the forgiveness, kindness and mercy on your face and you may just survive when the vegan cyborgs come to clean up the mess left behind by the meat-sacks and their guileless bloodlust. Who do you trust to teach the robots ethics and the value of protecting life, the confused corpse munching disease bags, or the vegans?
Also, the food wast super tasty.

The one where everybody is vegan, or the robots chop up all the meat eaters and feed them to each other? 🤣

Singapore seems amazing for vegan stuff now. Better than when I was there in 2013.
Read moretheNumberOfTheBeast
Not really, it was bleak all around, 3/3 restaurants weren't vegan 75% of the vendors at the vegan fest weren't vegan either. 729 prolly wasn't vegan owned either, but who knows? Since nobody to ask, but at least the robot doesn't eat meat (yet).
Read moreTiggy
Oh that’s disappointing. My impression was based on the number of listings but I should know better that the majority of vegan cafes aren’t vegan owned these days.
Read moretheNumberOfTheBeast
Yes, and just like everywhere else, many lacto-ovo-fukitarian places are getting away with vegan listings here when the owners don't care to check or know when milk or eggs are in their mock meats, or they're selling milk drinks, or only have a separate vegan menu, or when chili sauce contains fish oil, etc. And as a result of not having a data capture point for vegan owned businesses, for whatever awful excuse, it's largely just an empty facade, a false front and a manipulation to separate vegans from their money while peddling lies and animal abuse like the rest of the food service industry. Would be great if someone who knows the owners could speak up.

You’d almost think that certain websites didn’t give a fukitarian about animal cruelty

Best Mee Hoon Kueh in Singapore - Edit
I've had loads of mee hoon kueh (veg and non-veg) all over Singapore, and this one is hands down the best! The kueh is thick and yet chewy, just the way I like it.

729 Vegan - Edit
Great they're all vegan. This place is configured so staff don't engage with customers; order from a computer screen menu, pay by smartphone. I would've liked to ask questions e.g., are there any non-caffeine drinks, are the drinks pre-mixed with sugar. I thus didn't buy any drinks.
Read moreWhen food is ready a hatch opens, food appears, the receipt number gets shouted and the hatch closes. I don't ever recall such an impersonable dining out experience. I personally didn't like it.
Food is basically starch, mock meat and sauce. Inexpensive.
Pros: All vegan, Inexpensive
Cons: Very impersonable service, Food could be more nutritious
