REMOVED: 500 Miles Away

Great rock bar with fantastic taste of music and selection of beers.

I was looking forward to trying a few things but was unfortunately let down at the oven was broken so pizza was off the menu and so were the baked potatoes. We thought we'd try the sandwiches but were told the vegan ham was still frozen so that too was out of the question. It basically left us with the choice of burgers without the chips (at a reduced price) or toast. A bit disastrous but on a positive note the burgers were really tasty and the girl serving us was very friendly.

No Non-Smoking area inside, we had to sit outside in the heat. Serves just a few dishes: burger, pizza and potatos. All vegan.
Seems like a good friendly place to have a drink at night, but too smoky even in the daytime. Area is sketchy. Food comes out extremely slowly even though there are not too many people. Service is not good. Pizza tasted ok but the cheese did not melt. Does not accept credit cards.
I do not recommend this place.

Only one of two all vegan restaurants in Athens, with a VERY unusual name "500 miles Away" Turned out it was named after a favourite song of those who ran the place.
We found it down the end of a rather delapidated street. But it was WELL worth finding
Lovely people The only failing was there was only a choice of four meals, but the two we had were great and good value, and the people were friendly and pleased to see us. We visited there twice. The Vegan pizza was very large! (Dilys made two meals out of it )
Highly recommended.

Nicht unbedingt geeignet für ein gutes Essen, eher ein Laden zum gemütlich beisammen sitzen bei mehreren Drinks. Wir hatten eine Pizza, die groß und lecker war. Es gab nur eine griechische Karte, auf der zum Essen Pizza, Toast, Burger und noch eine andere Kleinigkeit stand. Man konnte nicht groß wählen und wusste nicht, was letztlich darauf ist, da auch das Personal nicht wirklich Englisch sprechen konnte.

Very reasonably priced, grunge music feel. I had a delicious vegan pizza. The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu.
