Christchurch favourite

Fika’s vegan bagels and pastries were incredible, and their service was just as amazing. So helpful with confirming options were both vegan & nut free, and when I was curious about what vegan “chicken” they used, she even helped me find that. What a star. Such amazing vegan options, highly highly recommend.

Best Cafe in the city

The staff is super friendly, the food is very yummy and the coffees and matcha are exceptional. And all vegan milk options are free.

Lots of options

One of the places within Christchurch with several vegan baked goods options. The Cinnamon Scroll was delicious… moist, well balanced with sweet icing and cinnamon. The Blueberry Scone tasted like a biscuit with blueberries.

Great little spot

Unexpected gem in city centre. Prices were very reasonable (think $5 mark for sweet items) and menu included a lot of vegan items, even savoury ‘cheese’ scones which are hard to find! The giant ginger kiss, biscoff biscuit and bagel I shared were delicious. Highly recommend.

Cute cafe

Sweet little cafe, perfect stop for a snack. Had a rosemary bagel with cream cheese, there were quite a few vegan bagel options as well as pastries.

Perfect vegan breakfast experience

I had the vegan pastrami bagel, and it was very delicious. For dessert, I chose a Biscoff cookie, which tasted amazing — just like raw cookie dough.
I also got a cheese and garlic scone to take away. It came with vegan butter and was wonderful, very rich and garlicky.

Super delicious food

I had the Vegan pastrami bagel and strawberry matcha iced latte. Both fantastic, there was so many vegan options and I also got the Biscoff cookie for later.

Loved this amazing place!

They had a lot of vegan options.
I took a strawberry matcha, a cinnamon bun and a vegan cheese scone.
I went back a second time and i decided to take the salad with edamame, rice and vegetables, it was again really tasty, and for take away i took the speculose cookie, amazing taste!
I loved the atmosphere in this cute coffeeshop! Highly recommended!

Pros: Amazing food, Cozy atmosphere, Really good price value

Best vegan bagels we ever had

We ordered a simple peanut butter bagel and the Reuben bagel. The latest one was mindblowing, I'd love to order a second one if I wasn't full already. Try it yourself!

Pros: Super tasty

So many excellent vegan options

Never been to a cafe before that offered a choice of two kinds of vegan cheese scones! It came toasted with a generous amount of spread. One of the best cheese scones I have had.

Fika has so many vegan options and it was hard to choose. Not having had a ginger kiss since I went vegan 36 years ago, I immediately went for that and it did not disappoint. The filling was creamy and the ginger cake part just right.

Great to sit in or take away. Excellent location just off Cashel St

I thought the prices were really good too - I got a cheese scone and huge ginger kiss for $9.50.

It was amazing to go to a cafe that didn't fall back on the standard hummus and felafel vegan menu. Fika is not a vegan cafe, but the choices are head and shoulders above what is 'usual' for a non vegan eating place. So I was not surprised to hear from the server that the owners are vegan and so have some understanding of thinking outside the box with their vegan menu.

Pros: cheese scones, exciting vegan options, not expensive
