Stopped in for Dim Sum

We stopped in for Dim Sum and ordered a handful of different dishes. We didn't wait long until they were placed in front of us. The staff were friendly and congenial. Quite a few items on the menu were not vegan which was a disappointment and a bit perplexing as I have had many of the same or similar items at other Chinese restaurants and they were vegan. I've been to many many vegetarian Chinese restaurants before and usually the menu turns out to be 98% vegan and 2% non-vegan, but this place had a much higher percentage of non-vegan menu items. Anyway, the food was pretty good, we had no complaints. Perhaps we'll stop by for a full meal next time.

Pros: Tasty food, Friendly staff

Cons: Too many non-vegan menu items

Lots of great options

My friend who grew up in Richmond has been taking me here for years, and I love it all. Most recently we tried the kelp/bean curd roll that was really yummy (but only if you are a fan of seaweed flavour). Actually, any of the bean curd dishes have never dissapointed.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options

Great options

Tons of great vegan options! We tried the BBQ bao (the dough was so soft and pillowy) the seaweed mushroom bean curd roll (10/10 so delicious) eggplant and tofu (good not great, we didn’t find this to be very flavourful) and the kong pao bean curd roll (another 10/10 sooo addictive!)
Would definitely eat here again.

Pros: Options

Best Chinese food in Richmond!

I’ve never had so many things to choose from as a strict vegan in Richmond! So many options, I go there every week for takeout and they know my name now, super friendly staff. And huge portions for what you pay for, I always end up saving some for later. Even the meat eaters in my family like it! Their Kung pao chicken is the best!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Super friendly staff , Large delicious portions

Kong Pao tofu bean curd on point

I researched this place and I am glad I came. It had so many vegan options and also some frozen food in the little store attached.
The tofu and bean curd Kong pao was the right choice. I love that you can adjust the spicyness and also how they help you decide. 10 percent off for take away. It’s fully vegetarian-Chinese
The sauce is rich and flavorful and crunchy bean curd with veg and rice and glazed walnuts on top- for 15 Dollar you get a soup, rice and the dish for take away. Can highly recommend

Pros: Vegan vegetarian , Combo prices, Lots of options

Cons: Not comfortable sitting inside

Worth the drive from the Fraser valley

This is the best vegan Taiwanese food I have had outside of Taiwan. You will not be disappointed. The menu is huge but don’t get overwhelmed the staff are super helpful and can recommend things if you are not familiar with this type of food.

Pros: Almost everything is vegan , Huge menu, Great taste

Flavourful Food and Helpful Staff

A joy to find on a business trip to Richmond. I’ve certainly had better vegan Chinese food but this worked fine. Tried the fake pork bbq bun (a bit too saucy) but tasty, the bean curd (very good), and the kimchi noodles (not for me but others will like).

Pros: Reasonably priced, Decent portions

Cons: Parking is tight, Take out o my due to Covid

So much food for $30!

Fabulous vegetarian and vegan Chinese restaurant. I enjoyed the Deep fried mushrooms with sweet Miso sauce, the Radish cakes, and the Szechuan hot pot for lunch. And for dinner that night. And the next night lol. Delicious! A few dishes use eggs and milk, otherwise fully plant based.

Pros: Great prices, Lots of choices

Very impressed! I love this place - 5 shiny stars!

Had the vegan Kung Pao with bean curd rolls and the kimchi chow mein.

The Kung Pao came with brown or white rice, we had white, which also came with either vegetable soup or herbal soup, we chose herbal.
The Kung Pao was delicious with an impressive batter, the flavour was like Chinese bbq sauce! It was really rich, but I loved it. It had bits of carrots and bell peppers in there too. There were some really tasty stir fried leafy vegetable too, maybe choi sum in sesame oil. Also came with 3 tofu triangles, tasted like it had ginger in it, yum!
The rice was fine.
I have to give major praise for the herbal soup, I haven't had one in years and I don't recall any other small Chinese restaurant offering this type of soup. It was unexpectedly sweet as I recall soups like these are meant to be earthy tasting and sometimes bitter. Really enjoyed it regardless. There was definitely a jejubi in there with several goji berries and something else.

The Kimchi chow mein was fine, I love the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised by the mushrooms in there. It was good! Could be spicier!

The vegan gyozas were great, bigger than I expected! Inside looked like it had spring onions and blended minced soy. Worth the price.

The plain noodles with vegan meat sauce had pickled sliced cucumbers on top. Can't describe the taste of the sauce, not bad, nor great. The noodles were okay.

The fried radish cakes were very filling, you get 6 big squares of them. They were like mashed potatoes inside with a bit of a crunchy batter, it was great, sweet and savory, but a bit too oily and too much! Very generous portions.

Sweet and sour treasure was good.

The vegetable soup was Chinese tomato soup

The server/ cashier woman was very nice :)
Prices are decent.

Pros: Price, Delicious

Great vegan options

Great vegan options, helpful and warm service every time (even when we cut it close to closing time!!!) Hotpot is more than enough for two people. Fried mushrooms and fresh dumplings are also amazing. We consistently have leftovers (cold 4 stones is much better than hotel breakfast options for vegans).

We’ve been coming here for years as we pass through YVR on a consistent basis, and love the new setup. Such a great option for travelers, across the street from the Hilton/Marriott/Sheraton complex

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Location

Very Easy for Vegans

Just went here for the first time in a few years because it's really the only vegan-friendly option around. I've heard/read some so-so things about it lately, but we had a really great experience. Dishes that can be made vegan are all marked, and the service was really quite good. We ordered a nice variety off the menu and all the dishes were quite delicious. Il definitely go back again!

Pros: Lots of vegan options

My favourite spot in Richmond

I love my experience every time I go here, it’s always busy and the staff are all very nice. It’s so nice to have a vegan/vegetarian asian food restaurant, as it’s not very common in Richmond. Pricing is fair, the food is delicious, the sweet and sour treasure is a must try in the vegan option!

Pros: Lots of vegan & vegetarian options, Only vegan/veggie asian restaurant in Richmond, Close to Canada line

Cons: Very small restaurant, Long waits for a table, To go containers are not recyclable

hot fast delicious food

There are plenty of clearly labelled vegan options on the menu. As others have mentioned there is a language barrier here but it’s not a big issue. It’s friendly and relaxed. They asked if I was vegan. The portions are large (I couldn’t finish my meal) and everything tasted great. It seems most of the food is fairly spicy. The food came out almost instantly and very hot. I’d definitely visit again.

Pros: fast service , hot food, plenty of vegan options

Cons: slight language barrier

It was just ok. I feel like Vegetarians would enjoy it more than Vegans as there are way more options. The service is not the best.
