Lovely meal - Edit
So excited to go to a fully vegan and gluten free restaurant. I loved the milkshake (with almond butter and date syrup!). We shared two mains - the spinach and potato croquettes with tofu cottage cheese and oyster mushrooms, which was delicious, and the stroganoff, which was great. Lovely staff.

Best restaurant and widest choice - Edit
I've eaten here since it was under Picadilly Circus. Usually eat Mushroom Stroganoff as its so good. Spacious setting and long opening hours. Best of all there is little or no fake meat.

The seitan stroganoff was incredible, as was the soup of the day (cream of carrot). For dessert, I had the maple-roasted pineapple but substituted strawberry ice cream for vanilla.... so good!

Cauliflower and broccoli soup was just so good. Seitan stir fry was so generous with the vegetables and lovely brown rice. Delicious and so hearty. I had a spinach and avocado salad too and it must have been made with a whole avocado. You don’t get such generous portions anywhere like that. Just what we needed. Bean Curry from the specials was lovely too.
Read moreThis place is not as flashy as other central London vegan establishments but serves what I think of as more real wholesome vegan food. Chef here knows their stuff. We’ll make a point of returning next time we’re in London. What a find.

I realize now I can write a review on here—visited London a few years ago and 222 Vegan Cuisine was my savoir! I was in different parts of England for about 2 weeks. Made my own food most of the time, then visited London for a few days and happened to stay at a hotel right by this restaurant and was in Heaven! I ate there at least 4 times—every meal was amazing and I highly recommend whether you are traveling or living there. I will definitely go back next time I visit the area. It was my favorite vegan food restaurant at the time of my visit!!!

222Vegan has been around a while, and for good reason! We like the ethics (organic where possible and no microwaves) and the creativity of the menu.

Reasonably priced for food and drinks.
Staff were friendly and did a great job given how busy it was on a Saturday evening. Can get very busy so would recommend booking a table in advance.

Fabulous food with dishes I've never had before. Oyster mushroom and spinach raclette was filling and delicious, carrot and spinach tart came with masses of veg. Chocolate gateaux was delicious, and fresh juice really good.

I would give them 5 stars if they still carried my favorite meal ever…the Vegan Roast!! I don’t even like meat substitutes generally, but that meal was AMAZINGLY delicious!!! So sad to discover they no longer have the seitan roast. 😢

Unsure if they still offer the lunch buffet. But when they did it was amazing value and great food. In terms of the evening menu, I've been a few times and never disappointed. Very fresh, tasty food.

I've been here a few times and the service has always been excellent, the food excellent, and the quality of the food very consistent! You know you will get the same high quality food when you go here time after time! I highly recommend this to everyone. The food is not only delicious but very healthy. At lunchtime they do a buffet, and in evenings they do a set menu. The desserts (separate to the buffet), are amazing! Well worth a visit.

Read moreThere are several different options, and it was refreshing to see more than fast food. However the "raclette" I ordered which was actually more of a gratin was not very tasty. The sauce was a bit bland and the potatoes were not cooked well enough for this type of dish (or perhaps they were the wrong type of potatoes).

I love rating great places with lovely vegan food, but 222 leaves me wishing I could award it an extra star. The food here is top notch, served beautifully and by an excellent team of lovely people. We had a delicious seitan stroganoff and an inventive ‘meatball’ spaghetti that used quinoa and spinach to produce rich, meaty food. The organic house white was deliciously crisp and well-paired with hearty food.
Read moreI have to reserve extra praise for the delicate yet exquisite starters, though. We had the bean and tofu pancakes and the mind-blowing almond cheese. As a reformed cheese-lover, I really appreciated its complexity and punchy cheesiness. A refreshing change from supermarket coconut derivatives!
