Very Satisfying Food - Edit
We arrived when it opened at 6:00pm but had to wait for 10 minutes since we did not have a reservation. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the mock meats were excellent.

Looked great, but the food left us disappointed. - Edit
We expected it to be similar to Tofu Vegan in London which is really excellent, but while the service was good, sadly the food here was quite a let down. Overall it was too greasy, too deep fried and the sauces too heavily sweet. Also chopsticks were not provided on the table.

Extraordinary - Edit
Incredible vegan resteraunt, has all the Chinese resteraunt classics and more. Good value for money, friendly staff, and ALL VEGAN. Highly recommended. They allow many options for all sauces, like mock meats or tofu in ever dish, which gives great choice for everyone.

Unique occasion to get plant-based chinese cuisine - Edit
Pretty authentic-tasting considering it’s entirely plant-based. We had the “duck” for starters to share and that was a great experience.

Vegan Gluten Free Dream - Edit
Highly recommended. We’re a fully vegan family of five, plus two celiacs. There was a fully gluten free menu with plenty of options. Food was delicious, generous portion sizes, and top notch service provided.

Absolutely delicious - Edit
We had a fantastic meal at Orchid and would definitely go back if we are in the area again. There was a great selection to choose from and all very well priced. We have a soft drink, soup, starter, main and dessert each and that was £68 in total!

Great for sharing - Edit
There was a group of us there and we picked loads of starters and loads of mains and shared. Everything was delicious. The pork dish was particularly good and the mushroom toast too.

Delicious food!! - Edit
Lovely to have a full vegan menu, there's so many choices. The mushroom toast and chicken curry was amazing. Food seasoned well, nothing too salty. Staff were lovely and attentive and the food came so quick after ordering. They also have a full dessert menu but we were too full 💔 would absolutely go back and would reccomend this to everybody.

Fantastic all-vegan Chinese - Edit
The Orchid Vegan Restaurant is a genuine gem for anyone craving inventive plant-based Asian fusion. From the moment we sat down, the staff made us feel completely at home — warm, attentive, and happy to talk us through the menu.
Read moreThe food itself was the real star. Every dish arrived beautifully presented, bursting with flavour; nothing tasted like a “substitute,” just genuinely delicious cooking in its own right.
If you’re after a relaxed evening with food that happens to be vegan (rather than “vegan food”), Orchid is well worth a visit.

Okay - Edit
I like the comfort of being able to order whatever I want and know it's vegan but the flavours are... a little bland? And maybe different to how I'd do it. Didn't like the coriander on the salt and pepper chips otherwise good, the prawn toast was incredibly greasy to the point I couldn't eat it unfortunately. I know the satay is nut free but it's just... meh. I've had that twice now and it underwhelmed me. Staff are friendly, the choice is varied and things are tasty but could be so much better - I've no idea why they are so frugal with the seasonings haha. The mains were delicious however, and I will be returning to sample some different items and maybe have s&p chips without the coriander. I'll give them a third chance with them being fully vegan

Sorry to hear you were disappointed by your food. Did you know that literally means exactly? So whey you say you waited literal years, it doesn't make sense.
Read moreYou felt like you waited years, but you literally waited minutes. So you could say "I waited literally half an hour for my food" to explain that it was exactly half an hour, it did not just feel like half an hour. If you want to emphasize the length of time, you could say "I waited practically years," or "I waited virtually years." Literally is not the word you are looking for.
I hope you like the food next time. xxxxx

OK for the 1970s - Edit
It's great to have a completely vegan menu- hence 3 stars, and be assured that you can order anything you want. However, the food was underwhelming and I wouldn't go back. It was reminiscent of the synthetic tastes of Chinese food in the 1970s.

Hidden Gem - Edit
I stumbled across this Resturant near our hotel. We ordered the spring roll, mushroom toast, Singapore style special fried rice and tofu satay skewers. It was all delicious, the star was the rice. And there was even left overs to take home. My mum isn’t vegan and she said it was delicious. We didn’t try the dessert because we were too full but they looked good too.

Second visit to this restaurant, and can’t wait to go back. We had the duck pancakes to start, followed by the crispy beef in okay sauce and sweet chilli chicken, with fried rice, noodles and chips. The crispy beef is so good. Shared a red velvet cake for dessert. Definitely recommend

Lads, the food was terrific, but can we have a conversation about that cathedral! My father particularly favored the beef while I found the fried rice to have the rare quality of being both light and flavorful.

Mediocre - Edit
It was kinda ok, the food was salty and besides that not very flavorful. We didn’t even finish our food because we did not enjoy it, and why eat food that’s not good. Service is good but fast, plates of the starters got taken away even before we finished the last bite.
