Interesting atmosphere and really good Viet Namese food - Edit
I really liked the eclectic and funky atmosphere. The place is popular, and full of happy people eating and conversing. Service was very good and friendly, despite being so full. The little bowls we had were all very good. I especially liked my Buddha Bowl.

Was better before - Edit
Last year I was hear and I came back cos I really liked it.
Read moreThe place was very crowded. Inside was too much talking and very loud. The akoestiek was not good at all. But outside was full already otherwise I would move. My ears really exploded.
I was not very hungry. So I ordered only 2 dishes. It was much more expensive than last year.
The eggplant with mushroom very tasty. With some rice. And the tofu with flakes I forgot the name. It was good but very filling.
The service was a bit slow but it was busy and the plate where my dish was on was dirty.
Not the best experience this time.
€6,5 for small dish so compared to the rest of Berlin is more pricey.

Gerne wieder!

Used to be a favorite - Edit
Lots of tapas dishes that are good for sharing and for trying different stuff. However the prices increased and the quality dropped a bit recently.

Exquisite! - Edit
How anyone can rate this place below 5 is totally beyond me. The setting, the service and of course the FOOD - really great. And I have tried vegan Asian food in multiple countries and restaurants by now. Highly recommended!

Utterly brilliant - Edit
They have a super wide range of different small dishes (almost a downside since everything sounds amazing and it’s so difficult to decide!) and super friendly staff. Their interior is very cozy with many options to sit outside.
Read moreMe and my girlfriend tried 5 dishes to share, we ended up bringing home almost half of it all in a take away bag. Because we got very full. But I am telling you. The food was excellent. Their curry was fantastic, might be the best I’ve ever had. We also had some tofu sticks with a spicy raspberry dip (how do you even think of that and why was it so delicious??)
We ordered some spring rolls and they were very nice, but to be honest not that different from the ones we have at home in Copenhagen. Which is a good thing.
Only downside is that we ordered a Lychee Mojito that was very bland in taste. Not recommended.
This is, so far, the best food I’ve tried in Berlin. Absolutely worth a visit.

SO GOOD ✨🌼✨🌼✨ - Edit
i loved 1990. it was recommended to me by so many people and I’m happy we went. we shared 5 different tapas and it was mooooore than enough. so many interesting choices on the menu and all vegan! the staff was friendly and the space was fun! they had a dish with a raspberry dip (crazy!) and udon noodles, rice etc. as extras. their curry was amazing and I enjoyed everything. we had the litchi mojito which didn’t taste of that much sadly - but the litchi fruit that came with it was so good.

Oriental flavours - Edit
We had already tried Vietnamese cuisine in another restaurant and we didn't like it.
Read moreThis time we decided to give it a second chance in this beautiful, completely vegan restaurant in Berlin.
The restaurant has many tables both inside and outside and is tastefully furnished with a style that recalls their tradition.
The dishes, with their unique flavours, are varied and very good. This time we were thrilled!
The staff is friendly and the service is fast.
Average prices.
To conclude, however, I would like to make a critique: how is it possible that in 2024 you can only pay cash in a restaurant? At the end of lunch I had to go out to make a withdrawal at a nearby ATM, also paying a big commission for the withdrawal. Couldn't you just accept electronic payments like everyone else does?
Pros: tasty food
Cons: only cash accepted for payment

There are like 5000 of them, this is one of the good ones. You can tell because getting a seat is really hard. I recommend booking ahead.

Alright Vietnamese tapas but nothing special - Edit
Went here with a group of friends and the food was alright.
Read moreThe restaurant is big and very popular, they don’t take reservations but we managed to get a table for 7 people at around 19:00. Together we tried different tapas/bowls and I would say they were good but didn’t really taste that much and some felt a bit soggy. Some of the tapas were also quite hard to share. My favorites were the spring rolls and surprisingly the guacamole!
If you decide to go here I can definitely recommend their “Gold Buddha” smoothie, it was super delicious with mango and coconut.

It's great to order a bunch of small bowls to share but the food came lukewarm, and some were a hit, others were a miss. I would recommend coconut creme brulé though!

Great food - Edit
Loved this place so much - lots of things I hadn't tried before and a great selection of food. We only had to wait for about 5 minutes before being seated and the staff were relatively friendly. We ordered five of the small dishes and one of the main bowls. We both said we wish we had just ordered a couple more of the small plates rather than the main bowl!

Good but has been better - Edit
I don't know if I can rate 1990 as a must go in Berlin. It's definitely good but has been better a few years ago. There is a lot of variety but the food doesn't feel super fresh sometimes.

A big annoyance is that they only take cash, unacceptable in today's time.

Massive selection but flavour lacking - Edit
Very lovely vegan restaurant with tasty selection but be aware that it's very much catered to German palates. Interesting bowls but spices could have been upped by a 100. Loved the crispy rice covered tofu with the raspberry sauce and the aubergine. Got served a teaspoon of sriracha when we asked for it lol. Overall I would go back to try the other dishes but not expecting exciting flavours. Cocktails are great! #Veganuary

The tastiest! A L.O.T of food. - Edit
I was shocked that it was that big of a portion, I could't eat it all. It was very high quality of the food. I would definently go back to eat here.
Read moreIt was very crowded though and I think that they had too much tables crammed in. I also couldn't talk to my friend because of the loud noise from so much people inside the resturant. So it's a no go if your'e going on a cosy date if you ask me.
Pros: Delicous food, Everything is vegan, Big portions
Cons: Too crammed with tables and chairs, Too much people = Noisy
