today I took my sister here because I had been bragging about it for over a year she drove 2 hours to come share a pizza with me because I hadn’t seen her in a year. It was a bad day I lost someone close to me and we just wanted to enjoy a night out and I was able to get away from my kids for a while. We sat down ordered our food and she ordered a drink… again because I was bragging about how good they were. I didn’t because I was driving. We were there for a half an hour before the waitress(she was training) said she wasn’t going to serve us drinks because our IDs were fake. As any person would I respectfully went to the bar and asked for the manager thinking this server was obviously new and probably didn’t realize that they were not fake at all. They are just regular MI driver’s licenses. Phebee then proceeded to refuse to look at our IDs and said if her servers say it’s fake it’s fake and she could not serve me just because my shirt is pink if she really wanted to. She was not very nice AT ALL from the very get go. Even the guy at the bar looked at her funny. the bar tender then said fine let me see them so we handed them to her… even though I didn’t want a drink I gave her mine. She then said yup they are fake, in a really snotty attitude, we won’t be serving you. I asked for the servers name… they refused… I asked for the owners first name so I could call in the morning… she also refused. So a police officer was called to inform them BOTH were real IDs… they still refused service. So my previous 5 star review would be a zero if I could and I would hope for a response and apology. However if a owner allows the employees to act like that I highly doubt I will. This was one of my favorite places to go along with my husbands and date nights with another couple. On the bright side we ended up at an amazing karaoke bar right next door where we sang and danced with people more then happy to serve us and then headed to grab food just a block away at the carlsons… or something like that I had never heard of it but it’s next to rad dads. I was sure to leave the waitress at the place we ate a 80 dollar tip. I was planning to leave 60 at 18th amendment because the server was new. After receiving that awful service I was even more grateful for a kind server. The pizza at 18th amendment is good but definitely not worth being embarrassed in a bar full of people younger then me and being accused of having a fake ID

Very deceptive on vegan options - Edit
If they actually got vegan ingredients, it would be a lot better. Caesar salad has to remove the Caesar dressing to make it vegan which means it’s no longer a Caesar salad. It’s a garden salad.

There are a good number of items on their menu that are listed as having “vegan option” but I don’t think there was any communication between whoever wrote the menu and the kitchen. The Caesar salad is listed as having a vegan option but when it came out it was literally just romaine lettuce and croutons ($13) - it took them a minute to find a vegan dressing to give us. We also ordered their bar fries made vegan with vegan cheese and bbq jackfruit, the jackfruit sliders, a custom pizza with vegan cheese and mushrooms and the Sexy Tree pizza with vegan cheese. Sounds great, right? Turned out they were out of jackfruit so no sliders or on the bar fries. They use frozen fries and seem to cook them in their wood fired pizza oven, less oil is great but when they came out the fries were cold and still clumped together like they are in the freezer bags. The pizzas were pretty good, but more on the undercooked side and doughy - which if that’s your specialty you should have perfected right? The cocktails were excellent but didn’t come out until after the pizzas. The space is really cool and well-designed, I just didn’t get the impression that anyone here cares about the food they’re serving or the service. I really only complained about the drinks taking so long and they took $10 off, but the food overall was not good. I don’t believe this business would survive if it was in a larger city or had any competition.
