Platonic ideal of a chorizo taco - Edit
Their tofu chorizo tacos are PACKED, could barely pick them up without the tortilla falling apart. Deliciously greasy just as you want in a breakfast taco. Sweet cream cold brew coffee was an absolute knockout, and their pancakes are cromulently fluffy. Not as impressed with their bacon and egg taco, which uses tempeh (Light Life?) slices and Just Egg. Delicious well made food! Great portion sizes and quality ingredients. Attentive and caring service. Great cafe/lunch vibes to hangout in. Air conditioned inside and cute outdoor space away from the road to enjoy the sunshine as well.

A great place with a full vegan menu that I can’t wait to try over and over again. But this being my first time I had to try the Vegan Chicken and Waffles. Did not disappoint! Great v chicken, nice hot waffle and a beautiful strawberry/blueberry garnish. Well presented. Well prepared and delicious. Looking forward to going back.

We were in town for an event and were so happy to find this place. The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a couple of meals here and took more to go. We’ll be back if we’re back in San Antonio.

Amazing food, friendly service, beautiful place! We had such a great experience here. Tons of menu items, hard to choose! I got the brekki tacos and they were so yummy. The seasoning was fantastic. My husband got the shroom and grits and he voted it a 10! He’s hard to please too. At the end I got a cookies and cream milkshake. Omg! The best ever!

If you are in San Antonio, do NOT miss this place! The menu is big, diverse, all vegan (and gluten free) and incredible! There are healthy options and comfort food. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly and happy. I love it!

I’ve lived in San Antonio for a year now. I go to Veg Ave more than once a week on average. If I’m going out to eat, it’s here. The quality of the ingredients is unreal. Doesn’t matter what day of the week, they’re going to have the freshest veggies in SA. Wait staff is top notch. Group of incredibly nice people that I am always happy to see. The main chef is world class. Dude is working his [censored] off in the kitchen and always takes a second to wave to me and say hi. Amazing vision by the owner and perfect execution by the staff!

Any place that has breakfast available all day is always a go for me! We ate here two days in a row while visiting San Antonio. There was nothing on the menu I wouldn't try. Simply amazing food and they make a darn fine latte as well!

This place never disappoints! I almost always go for breakfast, but I have been for dinner a few times, and it was amazing. The food and portions are perfect, and the customer service is amazing! I definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting, or introducing friends and family to good vegan restaurants.

Read moreThe growing pains of being properly staffed have come and gone and vegan Avenue has really grown to be a nice place to have a vegan AND gluten free meal.
I will say the portions on some items tend to be HUGE while potentially lacking in other areas but I’d maybe have the staff help you decide based on how hungry you are.
I have enjoyed just about every dish I’ve had here. So if you’re in town please stop by.

We had a mix of meals. All delicious! We split the nachos for appetizer…wonderful! (Jalapeños not too too hot!). Entrees were green enchiladas (perfect), seviche (yummy), and green curry (big bowl). I had cookies and cream shake for dessert.

I like the variety on the menu, and that breakfast is available all day. Portions are definitely generous. I tried the birria tacos - spicy and good. Had the vegan slam breakfast - a lot of food, but a little overly greasy. Fajitas - another huge meal, but definitely too oily/greasy. Also pretty pricey; my vegan slam with tempeh bacon was like $30. The fajita dinner was about $25.

They are moving soon to a new location though, that’s the only downside to eating here. Sad I didn’t try it sooner.

We were visiting San Antonio and Port Aransas. We ate at this restaurant twice on the way to Port Aransas and on the way back.

They also have a bar serving cocktails and mocktails. They have happy hour and reverse happy hour where drinks are discounted.

Everything is vegan and delicious. My omni partner loved The buffalo chicken sandwich and the Philly Cheezsteak was phenomenal! The chips and “queso” was fabulous just a little drippy. Don’t skip on dessert; the cookies and cream milkshake is incredible! We will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend!
