Mondays are a bargain - Edit

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it just keeps getting better. My omni partner loves the food here as it's quite heaty.

The cocktails and desserts are worth the visit alone and on Mondays it's half price - as long as you book online.

Pros: taste, location, desserts

Ask for special offers! - Edit

So pleased to have yet another quality veg choice in Brighton. I had the superb 'fish and chips'. Mr me had 'mushroom medallions' - fab. Cheese board and a fusion pannacotta followed. Close to £50, we found out later that there are discounts on Mondays, also for veg soc members and tastecard. Take note!
The 4th of a national chain, we understand there are exciting plans for a future branch in London.

Pros: Delicious, Smart presentation of food, Good vive

Pleasantly surprisd - Edit

Very stylish but comfortable interiors, the service was really good and attentive. After having read some of the reviews I was a bit worried that the portions would be tiny ( I like my food tasty and possibly abundant...), but I was surprised by the lovely pakora starter ( 3 large pakoras with yogurt dip) and with what my friends also ordered. The main was lovely too , I had "surf and turf" and the others everything from "fish and chips" to salad to Portobello mushrooms. Lots of vegan options and I didn't feel as if I missed anything. At about £ 26.00 for a 3 course meal I think it was good value for money. Unfortunately the wine list is a bit on the pricey side of expensive, but that seems to be the norm everywhere. Lovely!

Pros: Vegan options, Tasty food good portions, Nice service and atmosphere

Cons: Wine list expensive, just a few details that could be easily improved o

Nice food, but prices are levelling with terre a terre - Edit

Nice place but a little pricey for what it was. We had a tajine and a roast vegetable dish, both well done but for £14, £15 a main course I'd expect something a bit more special. The puddings were OK, I wasn't sure about the piped sweet potato on the chocolate mouse. Service was pretty slow, the starters came quite fast but we then waited nearly an hour the mains. It's not the place for a romantic dinner though, the tables are pretty small and pretty close - we ended up in conversation with the people on both sides of us.

Pros: Half the menu is vegan , Good sized portions

Cons: Pricey , Slow service

Pleasant, modern, vegan options - Edit

About half the menu is vegan or vegan option, which is a good start for an up-market-style veggie restaurant.
The restaurant is well-presented, very modern, and service was pleasant.
All the food was well presented and flavourful. The agave tofu starter was really nice and unusual. The vegan fish n chips had good batter, though other places wrap the tofu in seaweed to give a slightly "fishy" flavour which was missing from this dish, and the sweetness of the lemon sauce wasn't to my personal taste. I'd also have preferred it all on one plate, but that's the trend these days I guess! The roast dinner also had a rather sweet rich sauce.
We enjoyed our meal, particularly as we had a code for 50% discount (look on their Facebook page for their current offers). If we had paid the full price for some of the dishes I don't think we would have felt it was very good value - for example the chocolate dessert turned out to be 3 chocolates on a plate with some chocolate ganache. It was very prettily presented and each of the chocolates was delicious, especially the caramel, but not worth £5.50 IMHO.
Overall, it's a nice place, worth trying.

Pros: Quite a good range of vegan / vegan opts, Smart, modern, well-presented, Good service

Cons: Some dishes seem poor value, Not 100% vegan
