welcoming atmosphere and good food

Probably the most welcoming place we've ever been too. Food was very good and creative beyond the usual vegan burger with chips combo. We had savory pancakes and bowls with figs and dates. The desserts were one of the best we ever had.

Pros: welcoming, delicious food

Cons: limited seating capacity

Best Vegan Restaurant In Ireland

Unapologetically vegan, these women are champions of delicious, healthy food that is made from scratch with love and care. The menu is expertly crafted for any pallette and offers an array of dishes for brunch or dinner. Even if you're only looking for a coffee, they offer a ginger latte to die for! We enjoyed their 3 course dinner that included drinks with the main course and dessert. 143v is a hidden gem that made our few days in Cork so enjoyable. Thank you Eileen, Lauren, Miriam, and Ana for a wonderful time!

Pros: Fantastic service!

Really delicious vegan food!

Unusual and creative dishes made on site. Mushroom pate (wow!) on bread for appetizer, grilled veggies (better than it sounds), rainbow salad, and an incredible lemon tart! Others at the table had similarly excellent dishes.

Pros: Food quality, Friendly staff, Variety and creativity

Cons: Small

Make sure you add the blue cheez to it.

AMAZING food and hospitality!

I visited this cafe during some solo travels in Ireland. It was my first day in Ireland and it was a very rainy day. When I came in I was greeted by the friendly owner who hung up my coat and made me feel at home. It was so cozy in there, and there was even in a little cat who came and nuzzled up against me. They had so many amazing choices on their menu and I went with a smoothie and the "smoked salmon" bagel. It was carrot ribbons seasoned to taste like salmon with vegan dyl cream cheese. It was to die for. I highly recommend trying it! If I lived in Cork I would be eating there regularly! I wish I would have tried some dessert, the turmeric latte, or the breakfast scramble bagel! In addition to how delicious the food was, the family who ran the business was super sweet. They filled my water bottle for me before I left, and since it was raining they insisted I take an umbrella with me, which was incredibly sweet. I actually came back later in the night and asked to borrow their phone because I was having issues with my accommodations and they were incredibly helpful with that as well. Cannot rave enough about this place.

Pros: cozy, delicous & healthy, amazing hospitality/ friendly staff

Great food, great price

What a treat to find the only 100% vegan cafe in Cork City. The food was something special, so tasty. We were spoilt for choice! Great selection of fresh juices and the brownie for dessert is just yum. Whoever thinks plant based food is boring should drop in and prepare to have their opinion changed 😊 I'll definitely be eating here again. P.S. Prices very reasonable too!

Pros: 100% Vegan, Great selection of food, Very friendly staff

Cons: Not many seats...but more in 2018 apparently!

Best Place in Cork!

Best.Place.Ever. A must visit.
This is a wonderful family owned business with delicious wholesome locally sourced food. The kitchen is open and the smells that fill the room are incredible. Lauren is so friendly and we wanted to order everything off the menu! Exceptional place that we could eat at for every meal. A trip to or passing through Cork is simply not complete without a stop at 143V.

Good food...hidden costs

The food is 143v was lovely and, as I have intolerances to dairy and eggs, eating here meant for once I did not have to worry I could just order. The owners are lovely, very chatty. Good portion sizes. Only complaints really were that the door blocked the menu so it was hard to see what was available and there were hidden costs. The lady serving us (7 of us) asked each one of us if we wanted rustic or sweet potatoes with our dish. What we didn't realise, what we weren't told, was that these were an extra. €3.50 for sweet potatoes and €2.50 for rustic, meaning they make up to €10 from a sweet potatoes as the portion was very small. This was a little disappointing as the dish would have been filling enough without the potatoes and it added a huge amount to our final bill.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Lovely atmosphere

Cons: Explain what is extra to the meal and the cost , Bigger jugs of water for the table, Paper menus

looks as good as it tastes!

Fantastic vegan made to order restaurant a little off the beaten path. It's a small place and food takes a while, so if you are in a hurry I wouldn't recommend. I got the savory pancakes and my husband got the tacos, so good! The menu rotates regularly. Loved the service and the vibe of the place. We are visiting from the states, and will likely go a second time while we are here :)

So lovely we never wanted to leave!

143Ⓥ is a small place with big flavor and even bigger heart. The menu offers a generous enough variety that there should be something to please almost everyone (indeed, the omnivores who joined me were as pleased with their meal as I was). There's a great variety of beverages (including some unusual health drinks) and tempting desserts.

But, as great as the food was, the best thing about 143Ⓥ is the people — a friendly daughter-mother team with other friends helping out, and they did a remarkably efficient job of turning out one great dish after the next during the lunch rush while also managing to keep up great conversations with all the customers. Never have we seen a friendlier establishment anywhere on Earth.

Please do yourself a favor and visit 143Ⓥ at least once. It's very convenient if driving into town from Dublin or other points east, or likewise if driving out in the opposite direction, but it's well worth the trip from anywhere in the area.

We found free parking around the corner.

Very enthusiastically recommended!

Enjoy!

Pros: Great food, drinks, and desserts, The friendliest place you've ever been, Good quality and reasonable prices

Cons: None at all

Food is tasty, varied, fresh and really pretty too. So happy this place exists! Only has too many options on the menu so hard to choose :) Will be going back again and again so.

Pros: Fully vegan, Tasty and pretty, Friendly staff

Cons: A bit out of town (worth it though)

Small, but perfectly formed

This neat / cozy little cafe is easily reachable by foot from Cork city centre, or hire a bike to get there in matter of minutes, but either way it'll take you between 20-30 minutes on foot.

Its located opposite side of the road and further along past Kent train station. Lots of parking too, but restrictions on road.
The cafe is currently open plan with about 4 tables capable of accommodating about 4 at each plus some high chairs. Kitchen is open plan with the seating too.
When I arrived, the 3 girls running place couldn't have been more friendly, accomodating my wife's unusual garlic intolerance and even offering aloe vera for my crimson red sunburn!
Menu is spread across 3 chalk boards comprising a regular menu, specials board and juice list.
I opted for the special of the day, coming in at 15 Euro but looked pretty hearty. I'm glad I got it, it was delicious and exactly the kind of food I wanted. It was a bean and soya mince wrap with guacamole, side salad and cubed potatoes. Very flavorsome and complete with ingredients grown by cafe.
My wife had a bagel with cream cheez and avocado, was also really well done (and at lower price point).
Had wife not been there, I would have tended an offer of marriage because this is how I want to eat for rest of my life: hearty home style food with a pro edge I can't match in my own cooking. I usually find salads a chore, much to the amusement of my wife's pal, but this was light, tasty and refreshing, meaning I'm not a salad dodger, but have been fobbed off with tasteless bunny food everywhere else!

Only downside is for someone who likes to eat as much as I do I could spend a bit above what I normally would for lunch, but there are cheap menu options too and you really do get what ye pay for here.
Just get in early, words spreading and its starting to fill up. Sumptuous food takes the suffering out of veganism that it once had. All cooked fresh, but wasn't waiting too long, neither was anybody else there but patience is a virtue!
Free WiFi too! And fridge with vegan essentials to take home.

But for frigs sake don't try to take a pram in here! One doll brought in something designed to take on everest and near wrecked the place!! Bad mummy. Leave it outside.

Great food and well worth your time if in Cork.

Lovely spot

Visited from canada and found this cafe through the app and was so happy that I did. The food was amazing and the service was above and beyond. I had the soup of the day, which was a rich aubergine soup. Then I had the bagel with smoked 'salmon' and 'cream cheese' with dill. My stomach was very happy. If only I had room for a brownie afterwards, they looked fab. Can't wait to come back to Cork to visit again. I'll be telling all of my Irish friends to visit for sure!

Pros: Amazing food, Fantastic service, Cozy location

Cons: I can't think of one

Love this place..Corks Vegan Cafe :)

What can I say..Great family. Great food. Great cafe. You have got to try the fudge brownie and they have been experimenting with other goodies like donuts from Miam..So good! This place is a perfect stop for tourists as it is just a few minutes walk from train station to fill your bellies before you head into the city :) Often she will have 3 different types of milks and I haven't bought any food that wasn't yummy. Even when eating as a raw vegan she gave me juice and bananas and treated me to an apple :) Worth visiting!!

Pros: Friendly service, All vegan, Great food

Friendly staff & Yummy food

Beetroot burger followed by a brownie & nice cream. So delightful. Filling. Quality ingredients that tasted great. Salad could be a tad bigger. Quaint atmosphere. Parking issue: lots of space avail but you must have a parking disc purchased at the trainstation. We didnt buy one and were there a while and our car was fine. Not a lot of seating. Staff/owner was super nice. It's worth hitting up!

Pros: Good ingredients , Taste is amazing, Nice staff

Cons: Limited seating, Need a parking permit
