Great vegan burgers, lovely restaurant & good value for money. I’ll be back when I’m more hungry to try some of the small plates

Yummy - Edit
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the staff were super friendly. Although I tend to prefer slower service, rather than being rushed, there was a lot of waiting and the odd thing forgotten. I'm sure they will sort it out as they are relatively new.

A-MAZ-ING - Edit
Very friendly and attentive host. The food was incredible, I can’t believe how great the “chicken” tasted. All food freshly prepared and delicious. Will definitely return.

I always use another restaurant as a benchmark to the highest quality of vegan food, this was up there with it.

Paying for brand… - Edit
Using premade burgers and throwing a few extra herbs on doesn’t make for a good meal…totally overpriced.

Best vegan burgers - Edit
I was lucky enough to visit 13th Element on the soft opening of their new restaurant on Castle Boulevard.
Read moreI’d heard a lot about the burgers but never had the opportunity to try them, and I must say they lived up to the hype. Our group of 4 all had different burgers and shared the fries, coleslaw, gochujang cauliflower, and corn ribs. Everything was exceptional, and I would go back just for the corn ribs alone. Unfortunately the burgers were £10-12 each and this did not include any sides, which I feel is a bit overpriced. I am happy to pay the extra to support an independent vegan restaurant, however I feel this price point is not attainable to everyone.
Overall, lovely experience and I would go back again for the quality of the food and service.
Pros: Unique and incredible food , Nice vibe in the new restaurant , Lovely servers and owner
Cons: Very expensive , Apparently don’t serve tap water , Have to buy burgers and sides separately

Delicious, Flavoursome. A Favourite. - Edit
This is now one of my favourite places in Nottingham. The selection of burgers is delicious and so meaty. The chicken style burger has great batter. The chicken style tenders are gorgeous. The loaded fries with shawarma or jerk chicken are amazing. I’m yet to try a dish I didn’t enjoy.

Great burgers and sides - Edit
Easy to miss from the street. Enter through the Golden Fleece bar. Order drinks at the bar and then you can walk through to the upstairs covered balcony area and order using Uber eats app or at kitchen window downstairs.
Read moreBurgers were amazing. We had the truffle version and the jerk version. Both were great. We chose plain fries which were tasty, and the spiced corn ‘ribs’ were such a good idea. The stem of the cob curled round making the corn much easier and cleaner to eat. Spices were delicious. Full of flavour without too much heat.
Would definitely go back again.
Pros: Burgers , Corn ‘ribs’
Cons: Difficult to find , Just burgers and sides

Could be good - Edit
Update - I have lowered to 2 star after our 3rd visit last night. We ordered on Uber eats and had a delivery time on between 18:40-19:15ish. They had an offer so knew it would be near the later end. 20:30 it arrived, no contact, no apology and arrived cold. It took us ages to get the offer to work, which wasn't their fault just seemed to not be set up well on the site, but almost 3 hours for a delivery of some cold burgers is a joke.
Read moreThere is some good and some bad.
The food we had was delicious! The corn was rib things were amazing and have not seen these before, the "chicken" was soft and the burger was great.
The reason for the 3 stars comes down to
- how difficult it was to order / get in touch with them. This was our 3rd day of trying to order / figure out how to order. I have seen on their instagram they have just got a premises, although it is way outside the city centre, so hopefully this will change.
-Price - It isn't cheap for what you get, over £10 for a burger they don't make on its own. Compared to other places in Nottingham this is very pricey. When you compare to somewhere likes Annies it feels like i'm getting ripped off.
I will be visiting these again when they open their new place and will be interesting to see how they do in a set place!

The best vegan burger in Notts - Edit
I ordered the lickin chickin! The taste of the actual patty was awsome! It reminds of the taste of mac chicken if that helps😁. It's a must try!

The BEST vegan take-away. Hands down. - Edit
This is honestly the BEST vegan take-away I have ever had.
Read moreI don't give 5 stars lightly - but these guys well and truly deserve every star.
Their chick'n' tenders are sublime as well as their truffle fries, corn ribs and burgers. You can also really taste the quality sourced ingredients - for example the sourdough brioche buns.
Don't come to Nottingham / order locally without checking them out.
Check out their Instagram for regular updates on opening times / availability.
Pros: Quality premier ingredients, Luxury menu options
Cons: Expensive , Sporadic availability and opening times
