It was delicious! I will definitely go back to try more dishes. The waitress was very kind. The flatbread with mango and hummus was excellent, the ingera was tasty, and smoothie was refreshing. We sat inside but there’s also a lovely outdoor seating area shaded by large trees.

Recently went to 13 Suns for a lunch. I went there on the weekday, mid afternoon, and the restaurant was quiet with only a couple tables occupied.
Read moreThis was the first time ever trying authentic Ethiopian food, and it was better than I could have imaged! Everything was fresh, extremely flavourful and portions were very generous!
Service was friendly but expect a little bit of a wait to receive your food, since everything is cooked fresh!
I cannot wait to go back and try some other items!

Sambusas were delicious, drinks were good. Got the veg platter - mostly pretty excellent, but I did find the Misir Wat (stewed lentils) to be a bit more al dente than is typical. Excited to go again and try the Shiro!

Worth the Commute! - Edit
I've been wanting to try here for ages now but it's been hard to get to without a car for me, so the day Line 5 opened I hopped on and went directly to 13 SUNS and it didn't disappoint! The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. My friend I brought is not vegan and had never had Ethiopian food and they were so lovely explaining the menu to him. He loved it. I love Ethiopian food so much and this was no exception! I will be travelling back here again!

Beautiful space, delicious food, super friendly staff. We had the injera sampler with mushroom tibs. Everything was wonderfully delicious and beautifully presented. Mint tea equally delicious.

Read moreI have to say when I walked in, I loved the beautiful yet simple decor and the smell of incense burning. Relaxing and intimate atmosphere.
My friend and I ordered a starter to share as well as a main to share. The Awaze mango flatbread was amazing! Beautiful presentation, delicious and creamy! Gobbled that up!
The mixed veggie platter had a bit of everything and again beautifully presented and freshly prepared. Great tasting! We ordered spicy tea to enjoy with the meal.
The restaurant also sells Ethiopian coffee and Canadian made oat milk by Oatbox.
Service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to go back as want to try the rasta pasta!
A must try but also support a youn g entrepreneur who is keen to make his incredible restaurant a success! You will not be disappointed!😋💚
