Loving Hut in Ljubljana has the advantage of being located en route from the bus and train station to the centre of town. It has generous opening hours and it has plenty of seating.
Read moreIt is a great place for an unfussy quick veggie fix: the food is simple, a mix of Baltic/Slavic dishes and international staples. Some things are clean and lean, others are richer but the mix is nice. Some simple desserts available too!
Main assets are the variety of options and the cheap prices! And they speak English too!

Best food I had while in Ljubljana there's a great mix you can choose from so you can mix and match lots of flavors and fill up the plate for an extremely low price - the price is determined by the weight of the plate

I had a corn soup (2€) and a cheezburger with fries (5€). Really tasty, kind staff. It‘s across the street when you leave the main train station.

I went there with my mum (who's not a vegetarian) 4 times during our 2-week holidays, because it was really good. The menu changes every day. The fact that it's so cheap is great too!

A no thrills place where you can order from a menu (4-5€ per dish; mostly fast food) or take whatever you want from a buffet and pay 0.85€ for 100 grams. The food looks simple but actually tastes rather good. There is also soup of the day (2€) and some desserts (3€). All in all it was a very good deal.

Read moreThe food depends on the day, and some days it's really delicious (like a spinach lasagna I had there recently), sometimes it's a bit more on the plain side. Depends on the time of day you visit as well. You pay by weight and the food is decently priced, definitely affordable. They also accept student vouchers (studentski boni) as an added plus.
It's a bit on the small side, however they have a decent amount of seating available. Outdoor seating is also available on days with good weather.

Why the hype for this place? - Edit
I was really excited to try this place especially since it's across the street from the main bus station and we just got off a five hour bus ride. The service is terrible! If you could order from the main menu, it was not obvious. The buffet food was gross.

Went here a few times and only ordered off the main menu, but everything we had was really cheap and tasted excellent. Pizzas, burgers, salads, and a really tasty tiramisu.

Im very disappointed with Loving huts lunch self service buffet. They have constantly the same meals, they should change them. I like their desserts, especially buckwheat pancakes with chocolate spread and vegan cakes. :)

I had the best Mexican burrito ever at this place. I almost ordered a second one but then decided to try the raw chocolate cake which as just as amazing.

I came here three times in three days! The veggie kebab was delightful and I've probably never tasted anything so good and probably never will again. So so cheap and the desserts were amazing! After two weeks of travelling I wanted some vegan comfort food and this was the one!

We went there two times during our short trip to Ljubljana and loved it both times. The first time we got the Vegibab which i can only recommend. You can choose between seitan, soy or mixed meat replacement.

Well located near the bus and train station and a short walk from the centre of the Old Town area, Loving Hut provided a good range of savoury and sweet foods at a good price.
Read moreThey have a menu as well as a self-serve buffet featuring hot foods, salad bar and soups. You pay by the weight of food from the buffet which is good. I went twice and there were completely different options both times so I tasted a pretty wide range of dishes. Everything was pretty nice but could have been warmer from the buffet.
The staff were very friendly and helped me out when it became clear I cannot speak Slovenian.
And, they have free wi-fi which is great for travellers!

Every city should have a super-cheap Loving Hut buffet right across the street from the central transit station, but maybe only Ljubljana does.

Very casual and full of both backpackers and locals of various ages. Fine for groups, couples, or alone.

very cheap, very delicious... but the staff just kicked us out because we had our dinner and dessert and just was already on the table enjoying a little the WiFi connection. it was the third time that we had lunch there, I was really loving here, but I will NEVER go back anymore because of this. and the restaurant was NOT full of people.

Great little spot next to the train station. Perfect if you are waiting for a bus or train. Homemade vegan icecream was very nice, unusual texture but good flavour. I had a selection of salad and cooked food from the buffet section that I took away to eat on my train journey. Very reasonably priced and nice to mix and match the food and choose how much you want yourself. Pay per 100g. The menu also offered a good selection of meals. My friend had falafel.

I had a slice of pizza and a plate from the buffet. Different than other loving huts that I've been to (they're everywhere, aren't they?). Didn't pay a lot of money and the food was really tasty. Nothing fancy but really good a fresh.
